Let's pretend for one moment that he does die before the election, just for the funsies. What happens then? Will the nomination revert to option number 2, aka Bernie Sanders? Or will his running mate automatically replace him just the way Vice-President is supposted to step in after the Big Man in the White House chokes on a piece of matzo? Does he even have a running mate yet?

Just a reminder that Seth Rogen was friends with Harvey Weinstein. Not even "clinking drinks at parties" acquaintances, actual friends. There was no way he didn't know.

I would add that she had weak political instincts too. Look at her campaign. A Dem senator from Hawaii doesn't bring much electorally then campaigns on spiting Hillary Clinton with a lawsuit over SEO while also trying to be a Blue Dog Democrat buried in a primary courting BLM. The only appreciable effect she had was taking down Harris, but stagnated after that. Had she been a spicier candidate then or switched parties, she could have occupied the same position Manchin or Sinema hold now or even better if she went full "The Left left me."

What's amusing is the guy manages to read the data... and ignore the other parts the lancet journal actually says. It shows that, so far as the data knows, while less effective against these strains it's still more effective than not being vaccinated at all for the groups they've checked.

Bare in mind, said groups, in the UK and globally, are all people who have comorbidities which COVID19 is known to seriously exacerbate.

I mean, I'm skeptical as fuck about some of the companies involved in this making such naked profit.

The fact they all ganged up on the one company who stepped out of line and agreed to make it at cost, activating their lobbiests to do as much damage as possible to a perfectly working vaccine (as the UK's own data shows) reeks to high fucking heaven.

It seems the UK Government agrees with the building of the vaccine centre that seems to be firmly in government hands and able to produce enough vaccines to cover the UK for the future.

But yes, the whole Nu varient which definitely kills kids appearing is a fucking joke. It's like they're not even fucking trying right now to convince people to line Big Pharma's pockets.

I mean, the odds of a varient that does that just as there's massive backlash against jabbing young kids who show absolutely no effect with the virus?

This is actually a -very bad- thing. It's putting artificial evolutionary pressure onto the virus, disrupting its normal cycle of becoming easier to transmit but less deadly.

Ah yes, because this is how every other disease has worked in which we have vaccinated against like smallpox and polio.

For every other disease, such as polio and smallpox, the vaccine was considerably more effective. Leading to a drying up of the host reservoir and eventual herd immunity.

No herd immunity here.

Unrelated to the thread but relavent to the themes I would say. Sweden's first female prime minister just resigned after seven hours.
The Green Party of Sweden left the government after the Nationalist Party rejected their budget plan and passed their own. The Prime minister proceeded to resign as it's in the constitution there if your ally leaves the government you have to or something.

Their plan is to start a new Swedish government with single party rule lmao.
