Cyberpunk 2077 Grieving Thread

The Witcher 4 starring Queen Latifah as Ciri and Pedro Pascal as the sorceress Yennifer. Also half an hour into the game Geralt is beaten to death with a golf club.
Would you kindly stop giving them ideas?

I knew they were gearing up for a Witcher 4, but damn, the chutzpah to try and make ANOTHER Cyberpunk game after that last one?

Hah I would have bought more Witcher games before Cyberpunk. Now? They're going to have to move mountains and make a stellar game if CDPR expects me to buy anything from them after the Cyberpunk debacle.

I'm still playing and saldy noticing about all the missing quests. One of the NCPD dispatch notes had a firefight with some gangs (don't remember which). It turns out the gang was using soulkiller to track rich nethackers and demand ransom. The gang leader of the winning faction, the one leading the assault comments on how messed up this is and says they should just release everyone. I'm sad that this was not an actual quest because it does feel like something with branches, choices, etc.

But still, I am getting some joys out of the game: I finally met with PanAm, flirted very badly with and did the whole quest with the Aldecados, the Arasaka engineer and Johny's cyber personality. I also managed to do the Crucifixion quest and almost got the alternate ending, (I didn't say this was insane in Gloria's house otherwise I got 3 out of 4). My point is: if the game was 60-100 hours of this type of content I would be 100% on board.

The Crucifixion quest was the only one that made me feel like I live in an Alien world. A guy will crucify himself, record it for a major studio and millions of people will feel what he feels. I don't get how this is anything other but a snuff film but everything is open for debate. I wanted more conversations with Joshua, more ways to talk him out of doing or just for a chance to put a revolver against Rachel's temple. I don't know if there's mod support for the game (broken as it is) but I want a sidemission where I break into her appartment and give her a colombian necktie.

The open world aspect of the game is really dragging it down, they should have concentrated on having each district as a main hub a la Deus Ex instead of being Skyrim. Maybe even have locked options for builds: specific branches based on combination of body + technical so you can become a cyberterminator or body + reflexes so you can become a ninja or intelligence + cool for hacking-only missions.

I still like the combat but I have to keep switching styles to not get bored. Now I'm playing as a glass cannon samurai - breach control; activate blade procs; get contagion, bear trap, optics and hack away with a katana. I purposely try to parkour my way around LMG soldiers.

One thing I don't get is how V didn't receive a bounty yet. He keeps popping on his own free will into gang operations, fucks everyone up, robs them and then goes away. He doesn't have a fixer backing him so I don't get why the maelstorm, scavs and tiger claws don't hold a truce to do a manhunt on your ass.

make a meme build where I punch things and that's it.
This was my first playthrough from the beginning and it's not a meme, you can abso-lutely barehand anything in Night City. Every time the game made a big deal about disarming me my response was effectively:

Only downside when I played was that there's one cinematic kill move for unarmed fighting and it didn't have sound effects. No idea if that's patched yet or not.

I’m not really shocked Cyberpunk 2077 is nominated for Best RPG at the Video Game Awards. If anything, I’m shocked that the jury participants for the US has over 25 gaming/media publications, where as the UK has 8 and China/Japan have only 3 to 4 of them.

The US really needs 25 gamer publications to decide Game of The Year?

I hope half of them are lesbian, black or unknown or else I won't take them as a credible source.

I honestly can't believe people still pay attention to the Game Awards tbqh
Nigger, read:
It does say a lot about the videogaming industry of the past 15 years
Being honest i just care about Game Awards to make fun of both "games are art" and "games are products" niggers.
with CP77 being nominated it was fun showing my glitchy videos and saying "this shit was nominated for game of the year, can you believe them?".

Don't forget the top-end gorilla arms. Especially if you have the shock knuckles so you can literally punch robots to death.

I finally played this game on PC. I got about an hour in to it, thought "I should just play Deus Ex again" and then I did.

Seriously though, how do you make a game with worse driving mechanics than GTA4 and Ghost Recon Wildlands?

You can run really fast, stamina is basically infinite, and fast travel points are everywhere. The driving is shit but it's basically a minor issue when compared to literally everything else.

I never got that far because I wanted to drive a cool future car and then it sucked and then I was reminded of the time I test drove a Tesla

I'm actually one of the crazies who liked the driving physics in GTA4.

It feels wrong whenever a game has cars where it can turn on a dime, go from top speed to a full stop in a second and back again to top speed in a blink. Compared to GTA4 the cars in 5 Are glued onto the road.

With GTA4 driving you always had to plan ahead as response was somewhat delayed
