she was lil ol girl mm-hmm, I reckon I did things to er I shunta

I usually was the one who wrote out those doxes and had a lot of fun with the jokes, formatting, etc. It was fun to do the research, and if I came through with a breakthrough bit it was exciting, but putting them all together for the big reveal was the best. We always used to find a good angle to focus on for each one.

The Ozma was one huge, because Ozmafat and also because she was one of the hardest to get her powerlevel: True Name (though not the hardest, that was The Finn, but Doxxnet always gets it's man).

My favorites to write up were probably Senior Woodchuck and Zeitguiest, who was one of the few, if not only, non-jannies we doxxed.

She is, and is now a "non-binary" troon herself.

"hello! My they/them pronouns: not optional, thanks! Have a super day", via her Facebook bio.
The they/them shit is very ironic because one thing that was very, very important to Ozma was that everyone knew that she was a woman on the forums. Her original name wasn't plain Ozma, it had queen or Ms. or something in it and at one point she even stated that her goal was to one day shorten it to being just "Ozma" when it was established to everyone that she was a girl on the internet. It was so important to her.
Speaking of Ozma, wasn't there a video of her masturbating that emerged at some point?
That was from some really, really grody alt-girl empowering pornsite where a fat chick filmed herself masturbating on the toilet in an airplane bathroom.

It wasn't her but it made her really mad anyway so A+

Genuine question: was SA every actually good? The vibe I get from reading this thread and LowTax's is that while it had it's moments in the early to mid 00s, the users were all certified mouth-breathers who just wanted to ruin things for other people and the mods were all on the registry for one reason or another. Is that accurate?
Basically yes - there was a lot of fun and creative posting back in the day, and it stood out because the internet was still new and so many funny ideas had never been explored before. It didn't hurt that most of us were younger then and more easily amused anyway.

The problem was that many goons took this initial success way into their head and developed a superiority complex based only on their talent to make funny posts - posting funny things is good, but doesn't carry over as success to most other endeavors at all. Thus the constant pattern of big goony egos that get popped when they get into contact with reality. It's also why a lot of ex-goons keep posting like they're back on GBS in 2008 - it's the last time they felt important and cutting edge.
