It is glorious, Twitter may become just a news RSS feed, just more expensive.

I don't always agree with Tim Pool but his video on this whole thing is enlightening in the consolidating information sort of way.

Saddest part is that even if Twitter died out of a glorious trashfire blunder or something, some other equally bad multibillion dollar platform would simply take it's place and shitty userbase and nothing would ever change
I want the chinese to buy it so we are allowed to miss gender and trash talk everyone as long as we dont talk bad about glorious leader Xi

Love the circular logic they are implementing.

You can talk about Kyle Rittenhouse on Twitter even though he is a private individual because he is newsworthy. He is newsworthy because he is being talked about on Twitter.

post hoc ergo propter hoc
The rules are obviously just more overtly stating what was always the case-- "you can dox and harass people so long as we don't like them and/or if the mainstream media has made them designated targets."
People are reacting as if this is a new mentality but really it's been that way for years. I highly doubt Twitter is gonna go after BLM when they're starting the next riot plans on public social media. I also doubt they'd nuke your account if you dox someone these rotted political brains considered a nazi because it'd be "in the public interest".

If someone posted Null's actual current dox on Twitter right now and the tweet mentioned him as "alt-right" or "racist" or "infamous transphobe who led to the suicide of blah", it could be considered in the "public interest" and kept up indefinitely, especially if a lefty rag like Jezebel or whatever (I don't keep up) picked up the info and published an article out of it to amplify it. The flood of vitriolic tweets vaguely suggesting someone give Null a "talking to" while repeating his address incessantly would still be in community guidelines, too.

The rabidly political would dedicate their free time to regurgitating the now public info in hopes of indirectly inciting the mentally ill to violence (like the rolling Black on White Crime threads in /pol/ ). Although to be honest I doubt Twitter would only tolerate the vaguely menacing tweets in such a case. Bet your ass all the tweets celebrating White peoples' deaths or in this case calling for Null to get ripped open would still be alright. Might even find blue check-marks among them.

tl;dr It's just more open hypocrisy wearing the notion of transparency and fairness in drag

2020: "No More Mean Tweets!"
2021: "No More Mean Memes!"
These are the same kind of people who blackmailed someone because they posted a funny gif mocking them. Remember CNN?

Wasn't the guy that got blackmailed a minor? That makes CNN even more slimy.

Of course, nothing came of it though. CNN is still CNN'ing without a care in the world.

Wait, does anyone have the full audio interview with this new CEO? The one who is talking about not caring about the first amendment. Also, Twitter should move to India and stay there.

Apparently some said he was but it wasn't proven so maybe not. However I doubt that would've stopped them.

Exactly, because they threatened someone who wasn't one of their kind. The same will go for Twitter as it always has.

Worldwide EMP attack when
Normal people are eventually going to have to talk about what it will take to protect themselves from the internet. It will soon be solely the weapon of perverts and elites, and the rest of us nazis will be banned from even checking the weather.

On the other hand, I can’t wait for the time when sneering at someone and calling them an “internet user” becomes a hate crime.
