If you are a Christian, you're supposed to rejoice when someone dies because they are going home to be with the Father. The sadness is for those left behind. And, most denominations believe that if you are saved, you don't have to fear hell. I'd imagine death might actually be scarier for someone who thinks nothing exists after this life. You die and you cease existing. At least Christians have the belief that they'll get to see their loved ones again. Sure, maybe it is all cope and nothing exists after this life, but it certainly lessens the fear of death to think that it isn't final.

Besides, knowing Kindness, we don't know what horror they were witnessing when they died. They might have been scared because she was flashing her hairy asshole at them or her meth scabs or something. Or maybe Kindness just doesn't like Christianity. She is "Jewish", after all. Maybe she thinks that's required for the larp.
