Well, yes. They'll just have to worry about the prices for rare-earth minerals. And their goddamn
spiking electricity bills because with everybody using EVs the power grid gets more stressed than ever.
The UK had to build entire pumped-storage hydroelectric power plants just to compensate for their population literally putting the kettle on at the end of a Dr. Who episode. Imagine how California's completely fucked up grid is going to look like when Californians finally get home after an hour of battery-draining gridlock, then plug all those EVs to charge up at the same fucking time. And it's not just peak load, because these vehicles often require
hours to fully charge. So those coal-burning power plants are going to be burning at high loads all through the night.
Some things should
not be centralized to that level, you hacks. Want something better? Start running a decent amount of buses and have
those run on electricity. I'm sure you'll save the planet a lot more competently like that.
