To be fair, I somewhat sympathize with the second one - I'm sure a lot of you remember when knowingly giving someone HIV or donating infected blood was lowered to a fuckin misdemeanor in California. If I lived in California I'd feel genuinely worried about getting a blood transfusion after a car accident or some similar painful incident, only to end up with AIDS because of some bugchasing subhumans.

IIRC, Grosskreutz was not convicted for any of his felony charges. The CC permit for his pistol was expired, though, so his gun was still far more unambiguously "illegal" than Kyle's (he wouldn't have been able to get that permit in the first place if he were a felon).

Both CC permits and barring felons from gun ownership after their time is up are unconstitutional bullshit at any rate.
