My thoughts exactly on Holo merch. Availabilty, shipping, and the fact the talent represented get probably nothing makes me feel no guilt about buying knock offs.

There has been a lot of speculation on that. Talents have talked about helping fund the initial production. I would be very surprised if they didn't get a large cut from those runs. Lamy has mentioned her paycheck going negative because of those costs.

Kanata has also talked about them doing a merch run to help her out early on since it took so long for her to get monetization. But that is obviously a special case.

It can go both ways. You can get totally screwed in a contract where you have to cover promoniational costs and or lawsuits on copyright infringment. (case in point the guy who invented the bore through cylinder which made modern revolvers possible died penniless because Smith and Wesson made him fight legal battles)

This is why bands don't actually own music they wrote and performed. They were just hired to make it. Much like a Subway wagey doesn't own the sandwich.

Everyone praising the new hololive models and rigging, especially gen6 now, and I mostly agree, but that is the one thing I think they need to work on. For many of them the mouth just hangs open and when they are talking it just kind of opens and closes not at all in cadence with what they are saying. I've seen vtubers with MUCH better mouth tracking, where it does actually nearly match with what you'd expect the movements are for what they are saying. It isn't usually noticeable since you are watching what they are playing and not paying as much attention to their face/mouth directly, but in zatsudan and other streams where it is just them I start noticing it more.

I think Pekora got up to over 76K viewers as she beat Cynthia. She was getting Gyrados ready for Garchomp that entire battle and it paid off.

I saw this supercut clip and checked her streams, she really does it all the time. She has such a banger opening but it seems no ending lol. But she's probably simply made a meme out of it

She was probably planning on returning to rootin' tootin' shootin' land for Christmas.


While getting there is simple and just requires a negative covid test. Coming back could be a massive issue with Japan restricting travel into the country pretty much to 0.

You have to "ask the government" to come back in at the moment I believe, which with Japanese paperwork is probably a nightmarish affair where it's faster to just wait for the borders to open.

Another Christmas alone in Japan is quite sad when she almost got home this year, if that is what she's talking about.
