I don't think she necessarily wants him to hit her on camera, but when it suits her she wants to imply that he's hateful and cruel, if not actually physically aggressive. When she plays Poor Pitiful Chantal she gets sympathy and supportive rallying among her most devoted acolytes. Hopefully, enough to drown out the mockery and criticism. So she toggles between "desirable qween who can totally get a man" and "innocent victim". Unfortunately for her, she doesn't really know how to control it. Followers are meant to choose between liking him and loving her or hating him and loving her, at her whim. I don't think it ever really occurred to her that liking him and hating her would ever be an option. It seems almost like she’s trying to bait him to hit her on camera. She raged last time this happened because people started saying they no longer believe her abuse claims (because of the way she talks to him/tries to provoke him). So I wouldn’t put it past her to think “I’ll show them”. She’s a spiteful cunt when she doesn’t get her way.
Nader is simply--and quite reasonably--refusing to let her control his channel, other than being his editor. Setting him up on YT was a way to get her hooks into him. He's making money from it and if she controls that then she controls him. He'll play along enough to keep the swag train rolling but he won't let her dominate him. He knows he's being mocked for letting her support him and he needs to salvage his reputation.
