Pugs are so inbred that even if you mixed it with a dog so far on the opposite side, like a Husky, it still looks very Puggish.
though i can guarantee this Pug Husky mixed gets rid of all the Physical aliments and Illnesses Normal Pugs are prone to. this Husky Mix looks like it can actually breathe like a normal dog is supposed to.

They also wear a spiked collar to protect from injury.

edit: i'm not a dog breeder, but if i was. i'd make it my mission to not allow any inbreeding or breeding of genetic trash breed unless the goal was the betterment of that breed, IE outbreeding. Pugs are fucked up and should go the way of the dinosaur.

My dog came from a shelter system that was 95% pitbulls. I wanted any kid-friendly adult dog that wasn’t a pit mix, and it took many months of looking. The competition for the non-pits was stiff. I looked at local rescues but couldn’t deal with how much it resembled qualifying for a security clearance. We thought about breeders, but I was still thinking “a mixed breed will be healthier” at that time.

Unfortunately, my dog (who looked like a mutt to me) turned out to be a designer cross between two breeds with known genetic problems and have chronic, expensive health issues. He has a great personality and his quality of life is high, but man. I don’t know where you get just a normal wide mix healthy mutt now. I wish someone would breed a family dog landrace where health and temperament matters more than looks. Humans are truly retarded.

Specifically the road dogs community which rescues deformed dogs from the bully scene, most are surrendered puppies that are dropped off by breeders themselves. I'm SO relieved she said no because a 10 month old goldendoodle is a fucking heat seeking missile, they're notorious for jumping and pulling. She told me they got to the breeders and the puppies were in a clean cage but out back it was mess, somehow this wasn't enough of a red flag for them gtfo and they still bought a damn dog from those people.. Their vet even said the kibble that was sent home with them was the cheapest shit on the market.

Holy shit, those poor dogs. Those severely deformed hydrocephalic dogs are probably in pain and agony all the damn time. The humane thing would be euthanasia. It's really not the worst thing that can happen to an animal - the animal just goes to sleep. Having to live in a twisted abomination of a body? That is one of the worst fates an animal can have. Animals don't understand their own mortality but they do understand pain and suffering. What is the point of spending thousands to care for an animal that will be in pain all the time? So the rescuer can feel self-righteous?

It's disturbing that people will breed such deformed animals.

After reading all of this I feel so lucky to have stumbled upon a chihuahua terrier mix years ago that so far seems hearty. I didn't know getting a dog with decent physical and mental health was so damn difficult. You'd think someone would notice this gap in the market and begin breeding sturdy practical dogs. I guess dreams of selling dog mongoloids for thousands is too tempting.

Also I find the husky pug mix to be kinda cute. Maybe there is hope that we could unfuck these malformed breeds

The kind of people who don’t see animals as living beings but instead as fun toys to play with and feel kinda sad about for a day when they inevitably die in a year. Unfortunately, this mentality is really, really common. Even people who don’t have it about dogs or cats might feel this way about fish or turtles or something. Pets are fun, but they all take either an expensive set up or lots of time and care to have a truly good quality of life. Plenty of people don’t really want to bother with that because AWWW ITS CUTE.

I knew someone who had one of these. After a couple years it started seizing constantly and ultimately died in misery. Apparently the fucked up skull squeezed the brain. Horrible.

My aunt bought a Labradoodle and took it to all sorts of trainers, yet it's still an unruly beast with a derpy countenance that reflects the wits of the dog itself. By contrast my parents adopted a Lab mix from a rescue trained by a prison inmate and it's smart and well behaved... except for the barking.

I don't understand how you can mix two very intelligent dog breeds yet end up with a fluffy, hyperactive potato. (Okay I understand the hyperactive part... and the fluffy part.)

I honestly feel like these “ special needs”rescues are right up there was the parents of children who are so severely disabled there is no QOL. I am all for rescuing a dog with a few issues that can be managed but a lot of the ones being whored out on IG would have been much better off being put to sleep.
