And since I'm talking about the bunny's pipkin, so we now know that she dropped out of high school sometime in the 2010's to make it big on youtube. This dork is one day just gonna break down and start singing her social security number. Jokes aside, hearing her get emotional, lamenting about how much time she wasted pursuing meaningless and failed ventures, got me in the feels.

I think the big thing she needs to realize is even if you pursued something 'meaningless' or that you perceived as a failure as long as you learned something from it and you grew from it it has value. She would not be the creator she is today if she didn't do all the stuff she did before, whether it was dumb or not. And not to numberfag too much but even though she's 'only' at 17k subs that's still pretty damn good and frankly she pulls in more viewers than some of her genmates, it just so happens that her audience is the one most likely to use adblock and never disable it. There was an Uruka stream I was watching that never broke 100 viewers a week or so ago.

For me she needs to stop looking at it as filtering her audience and more as 'I'm going to do what I want to do that's best in my current situation'. When she mentioned wanting to collab with Zen and half of chat had an aneurysm is a good example: I personally don't watch or enjoy Zentraeya but I would watch a Pippa/Zen gecko stream. And her telling someone to essentially get fucked when they said they'd unsub if she did it is the right answer. I'm not a Vshoujo fan but I can see how this collab could benefit Pippa so I can be pragmatic about it. She should probably talk to Tenma or Muumi if she's nervous about asking people to collab, use your coworkers to your benefit, they're there to help you succeed (ideally).

Also about her thinking about wanting to do stuff at cons like a panel, my suggestion is to vet the people you have do that pretty thoroughly. Almost like a job application even if it isn't paid. I'd be willing to do it (even FOR FREE) but you have make sure you have people with some charisma and, well, regular bathing habits. I don't know how far this idea would go though, sounds like something Fishman would be involved in.

Give me some puzzle pieces, that was too long and I'm in pain still. Need to take a legit day off.

NFT transactions also involve minting, bidding, selling and transferring a digital token. All these actions are costly, adding up to an average of 369 kWh: over 10 times as much energy. One researcher calculated that a certain artist selling two pieces of artwork used over 175 MWh, creating the greenhouse gas emissions of 21 years of a U.S. household’s electricity use.

I knew it used a ton of energy but jesas this is borderline criminal for what seems to be (mostly) money laundering.

I don't get NFTs at all least of which how in the hell they affect the environment can someone explain how something digital affects the environment?

Most 'crypto art' distribution and security technology derive from Ethereum. The Ethereum platform uses 48.14 kilowatt-hours of energy per transaction. The Ethereum blockchain generates thousands of transactions every day. One transaction uses as much power as the conventional household over a day and a half. As a result, it significantly increases global energy consumption.

Over 75% of cryptocurrency data mining occurred in China in 2020. China fuels 40% of its coin mining operations with coal, causing high greenhouse gas emissions.

It's an incredibly irresponsible and inefficient fad that allows us to be mad at China for entirely different reasons (and Artia, because why not)!

Note: #NFAmeTs are good for the environment, except for the one around Ame while she is gaming (legendary amounts of sodium are generated by every gaming session)

These numbers are retardedly incorrect. The number of transactions (including NFTs) in a mined block on a proof-of-work blockchain has no significant effect on the amount of energy expended to mine it. Proof-of-work blockchains are arguably an energy-hogging waste, but they were such before NFTs existed and would continue to be if they all disappeared tomorrow. Check out our NFT thread for more information.

Honestly, I wouldn't care.
The issue for me with the Kizuna thing is the fact the NFT thing is partly why the character is going on indefinite hiatus. It's such a weird and dumb decision. It's taking something away to replace it with something inferior I guess.

As long as Cover doesn't do that, then it'd be fine. Hell an actual Ame NFT might be funny to see.
Kizuna was dead the moment her old voice actor left

It's all about perspective. Maybe she's not as successful as she wants to be, or as some of her friends may be, but at least she didn't drop out of high-school due to getting pregnant, go through numerous guys trying to find someone who can take care of you and your kid, only to have two MORE kids, now still single and living off of government money and child support.

Shit is COMMON, and she managed to NOT be one. Give yourself some credit, out of all your bad life choices, you managed to avoid one that permanently ruins your life.

'our' NFT thread

Nope, no personal bias there. Mmm, the taste of Kool-Aid.

Cryptocurrency is so safe for the environment, even Musk and China agree on it.

there's plenty of people who put all their effort into an endeavor and failed, sometimes spectacularly. people start their own business, throw everything they have and then bankrupt out a year later.
Pippa got lucky. she joined a company that pays a stipend or salary with a retarded fanbase full of whales. Pippa's average viewcount is around the 2000's with her most popular stream at 71k. , yuni barely breaks 800 average views, her largest viewcount comes from her 12 hour stream last month sitting at 2,500. it doesn't look like there's any carry over from Pippa to yuni

no wonder she dooms. despite the "pippa is setting up yuni as a fallback" talk, it's not in the numbers, if pippa graduates that could be the end and she goes back to the indie vtuber mines. in another universe where pippa doesn't exist, yuni is streaming to the same 100-150 people. Maybe she's still managing six 1view channels and pulling her hair out.

At least she manage to snatch a dude like Zax, how many guy out there can do some heavy lifting work like him around (the bus project). I’ll say she’s not a total failure as she think she was. Though planning her near future plan after PCG (5 years plan) might be benefit her more. unless Zax-kun pledge to take care of her due to him being a furries which severely limited his dating potential, then she can relax and chill for awhile .

There's no way in hell my wallet survives a Hololive gacha game
There would be so much content out of it especially how gacha addict like FBK and Suisei who will salt as they fail to pull themselves during rate up

1 thing I love about this thread is the hate boners for the Judas Artia (that b1tch deserve it). Sad that Artia is Pippa Oshi. Such a duality and dilemma of Vchuuba fandom.
In Pippa's defense separating art from artist is something that is pretty much required in this day and age

For example my capeshit is plagued with out of touch woke actors pushing for defunding the police and calling your neighbor with a dif opinion a Nazi

But i enjoy the MCU too much to drop it based on the actors ignorantly attempting to drive the country off a cliff

So when it comes to Artia I hear that despite her wolf warrior status she was a good entertainer and i get not wanting to drop good entertainment for unrelated idiocy or malice
Kizuna was dead the moment her old voice actor left
Didn't she come back tho?

Let's assume for a moment Cover actually gets into NFTs, what would you think of it.
It would flop as hard as the last time a Vtuber tried to shill crypto

Also NFT is just a couple of idiots doing wash sales to inflate the price

Didn't she come back tho?

I think there was a rumor that she was replaced at one point, but the voice actress swears that it never happened. Hard to tell, all things considered. Her identity was a mystery for a long time, but eventually actress Nozomi Kasuga was identified as the voice

Doesn't matter. That should have been the end of it. The fact that they replaced her and didn't tell anybody damaged their reputation in some peoples eyes. Her leaving for nfts just cut the wound deeper

Im almost certain its not the same person

I like that Tenma has a lil chibbi avatar for EVERYONE.
She spent four hours on stream drawing a bunch of them for the collabs for her own birthday. Tenma is too good for this world.
Jokes aside, hearing her get emotional, lamenting about how much time she wasted pursuing meaningless and failed ventures, got me in the feels.

I personally don't want to even risk reinforcing the "I'm sad pay me" mentality and again I really don't believe she does it on purpose.
I don't think she does it on purpose, I actually think she holds back when she streams as Pippa. If she was streaming as Yuni during all that, she probably would've cried on stream.
Let's assume for a moment Cover actually gets into NFTs, what would you think of it.
I'd be happily scouting Twitter and laughing at all the retards who would be lamenting that they have to cancel Hololive now because they're contributing like 0.00000001% of the world's carbon emissions by minting NFTs.
And not to numberfag too much but even though she's 'only' at 17k subs that's still pretty damn good
It's easy for a creator to feel that they're "small" at 17k, until you remember the unbridled mass of wannabe nobody streamers and YouTubers who make content under 5 people will ever watch. There are so many people wanting to make it in this industry that by the time you're pulling the numbers even Pippa has, you're probably in the top 1%.
Anyone who would unsub because she did a collab with someone roughly 15x her size really needs to check their expectations. She'd be stupid to not jump at the chance to collab with Zentreya, even if the TTS collabs are always garbage.

I find it really funny how much this thread's opinion has seemingly changed on Zax, while /pcg/ is probably still seething that a dirty penis-haver is living with Pippa.
