Yeah, the idea that idols are just seiso childhood friend type girls who never say or do anything risque is long since outdated. That is the standard in the industry but there have been idols who go against the grain for decades, and many of them became very successful.

I wouldn't say Yagoo is wrong in calling Hololive an idol agency, because there are some very big similarities to how vtuber agencies and idol agencies work in terms of cultivating fans.

To those who didn't understand everything here's a summary of the whole video.

Basically she says there were people saying she's one of the new gen 6 hololive members.

As a result, there were also people looking into her real life identity and past (in case you don't know, especially for hololive, people really do dig up all the info they can find on vtubers and mistakes have been known to happen in the past)

And although she's not a hololive member at all she was really hurt and disgusted by the fact that people who aren't even her fans were digging up info about her.

This video is thus not directed at her fans and listeners but at the people who are trying to dig up stuff on her thinking she's a hololive member, wishing they would stop.

She doesn't want her fans to see this video because she doesn't want them to think this is how she acts. She then reiterates that she felt really put off by people finding her private twitter account.

The same kind of feelings she had when the whole 3D model incident happened. It pains her to have to involve her viewers in this kind of drama.

She's a vtuber who's barely making it as is and the mental strain on her keeps piling up with this kind of stuff. She admits she doesn't feel confident that she can continue being a vtuber with the way things are now, which is especially painful since she's getting a new look in the future.

Precisely, but do remember that Coco was one of the most beloved girls in Hololive and the managers still fucked her over at every chance they got. Yagoo himself clearly doesn't mind these jokes considering he is the butt of a fuckton of jokes in the fandom and from the girls themselves, but some of the managers are really anal about minor things and they honestly need to catch up with what the fans want!

I mentioned earlier that the stuff with Amelia's shorts might have been a reflex from the managers either being out of touch or simply being anal to protect their jobs as Amelia has proved more than once that she can do shit on her own without their help. But I also thought more about it and they might have done that because of some retards in advertising disliking the kind of humor in the shorts, or even wanting to save the opportunity for more partnerships instead of letting the girls do it independently too!

If Yagoo was big on that he wouldn't allow them to do half the shit they do with him, or he is smart enough to realize that being anal about it would backfire. I mean, one of the girls has a gif of him twerking for fucks sake lol!

While some of the managers must be out of touch retards, the sperging might be coming from the advertising partners as well so we should consider that lol!

I get why people do it, but I’ve never been a fan of people digging into anything they can find about the roommates. It clearly can go out of control really easily, and I’m sure a lot of girls would prefer their anonymity overall. Speaking as someone who prefers to stay private online, all the focus on roommates or immediately trying to discover who the new vtubers all and their entire back-history just seems kinda a shitty thing to do. And it’s not like lolcows, who tend to be focused on because of how weird or shitty they are as people. Vtubers are typically just normal people.

But it’s silly to try to preach ethics on both KF and the internet in general, I suppose. I just felt like I wanted to get that off my chest.

I know, right? We all know exactly what she looks like; she's tall, always wears black, with big boobs and pink hair. She's never had a problem with having the camera on her when she's singing, gaming, or just talking, but as soon as it comes time to cook something, she, like all these other girls, gets all camera-shy for some reason. I don't get it.

Yes, that was clearly my intention with saying that, for a random Vtuber to wander on here, see a random comment I made, and have such an intense need to have my babies that they somehow manage to track me down via a random thread comment. Yeah, it gets a bit much, and places outside here are even worse. Tbh I’m fine just knowing the last username they used so I can check out content if I want. Discovering Calli is DemonDice has brought me to some bangers.

edit: The most outside that I’d like to know is major personality defining stuff. Gura trying to be a va for example; I don’t need to know everything or to know faces if the girs haven’t made their faces known already (like Ina’s)
