It's a lot more finished than I thought it would be. We might just get this one within the decade. I don't have as much Morrowind nostalgia so BS Morrowind can flop around for however long tbh
If any of the BS mods are going to be infested with furry shit, it'd be that one or Black Marsh. Shame we'll probably never get a mainline TES game there, because the beast race lore is some of the best imo

I don't even really care if there's furry stuff. If anything, furry NEETs would have that shit done in record time. It's the mentally deranged trans Twitter goblins I'm worried about, and even then not so much as the content they may add to the projects they're on but the fact that these people stir up shit and destroy whatever online community they are a part of. I just want the goddamn thing to come out by 2035 or whatever the estimated end date for the whole project is.
A Black Marsh mod on Nexus got shut down over a minor asset from Beyond Skyrim being used and the guy was apparently harassed by the BS team into removing his work and joining them.
His mod was pretty bare bones and used free resources, but considering that it was a mostly fleshed out and fully cluttered worldspace that mostly needed NPCs and quests that was done in less than a year, I'd say it gave the BS snobs a run for their money.

So Beyond Skyrim held a live walkabout of some of the areas they've made for an online "Mod Con" but stuck to a linear path of completed areas but did little to showcase NPC interaction or quests. The video in the end only got around 8,000 views and very little attention. It doesn't help that they'll probably never finish it. Overall Hammerfell looks alright.
The BS mods also require no SKSE, which means they're simply replacing vanilla map markers instead of adding new ones (which requires SKSE or CoMAP).
Also according to BaloneyP and others who have tested the mods, a more open sequel to Moonpaths to Elsweyr was absorbed and scrapped by Beyond Skyrim, and it looks like their Elsweyr project may still use quests and assets from Moonpath, possibly integrating it.
Well it looks like Todd has found a way to release Skyrim again. The fancy new Anniversary Edition comes with dozens of new DLCs for only a $20 upgrade from your last Skyrim version (Special Edition). Many people are very hyped about both this recent release with the Anniversary Edition and the p...

The link also offers alternatives to Beyond Skyrim if you're not interested in waiting another 10 years.
Their private discord is still inaccessible, but some on /v/ continue to post pics now and then of the less advertised areas in the game, however full threads for BS seems rare since jannies started going into overdrive against them.
The maps for the other provinces are also looking pretty small.
Also since the juicy private discord is still blocked off (unless you're willing to spend months larping as an ambitious troon just to infiltrate it), the only thing of note that can be said about them is just rumors, with this one being the most notable:
The entire morrowind team was disbanded after all of the leak and tranny faggotry and only the writer was left, and he was a huge troon, they hired new modders to work on the morrowind team, and put the troon writer on a leash because it became literal fanfiction with the old team with "be gay" faggotry written in daedric. Plus of recently, Fallout Frontier shenanigans made them think thrice about straying too far into fanfic territory and giving too much power to their writers.
Pressing X to highly doubt as I'm very skeptical about this since their public discord is still just as trooned out as ever, still grooming their "eggs", still talking about how trans-friendly everything is going to be and the mods are still tranny jannies.
The only thing of note though is that a lot of older user accounts have been deleted, but that doesn't seem like proof of anything outside of either 51%ing or some gay falling out due to the leaks. However if there is any truth to this and if any of you have heard otherwise then feel free to share.
Anyway...

Looks like most of the pozzed stuff is in Morrowind and Black Marsh. I've looked through the BS assets and got the Cyrodiil stuff installed on my Skyrim install. I've played through a bunch of it and it's really no more lgbt than vanilla Skyrim as far as i've found. It's pretty much like the Bruma pre-release, but more. There are, like, a couple of gay characters, that's it. (Vanilla Skyrim had exactly two, iirc)
I can't say much about the other provinces because boy those files are huge and my HD is almost full so I'm not installing more than Cyrodiil, but Cyrodiil has escaped mostly unpozzed.
Maybe they want to specifically piss off Project Tamriel for doing the same thing that BS does, but for longer and sticking to the old style of lore from the Morrowind era.
That being said, I heard that Project Tamriel is also looking to add more LGBT stuff, but so far I haven't noticed anything out of the ordinary.

I had a talk with a pretty prolific Morrowind modder, she seems to be unhappy with the way Morrowind Modding is going, I hope things don't get too bad, TR is getting far

I was interested in Beyond Skyrim when I first heard about it but now that I doubt it’ll ever be done, I decided to take the plunge into ESO instead. Normally I hate mmos but I actually don’t mind ESO.
How does this just keep happening? Trannies and fetishists (but I repeat myself) latching onto things and just sucking the life & soul out of them.
Is it a lack of gatekeeping? Pushover devs? What?

So by sheer force of being terminally online their obsession over games and interest in programming make them abundant in these circles. Normal and somewhat normal people will drop in and out of projects, when you're terminally online though you're more likely to earn moderator or senior position because you won't leave.

They're not even all that into programming. Trannies are drawn towards everything that has a certain level of popularity. But unlike others drawn to that particular thing it's not mainly interest and passion for that thing and the desire to contribute in a meaningful way, trannies are getting into something to infuse their own politics and fetishes into it. That's why they'll always end up as jannies, they often can't contribute in a technical way, and their actual main interest is policing.

If you check out most git projects with trannies, like the GIMP knockoff Glimpse, you'll find they collapse under their own weight because everyone wants to do "documentation" or codes of conduct and nobody actually codes.

Exactly. They're in it for the politics, not the actual work. That's also why they tend to latch unto existing and successful projects rather than just starting their own the way they want it; they want the reward, not the work. And the reward, for them, is furthering tranny politics, so a dead project is still a good project.
Anyway. Let's hope this shit stays out of PT, TR, and OpenMW. And that they see completion at some point. I'm impressed with how much has been done with TR already, and how surprisingly well it has been done.

And how to keep them from getting into these projects? Unfortunately, pinging the entire server with YWNBAW-copypasta every morning is not a long-term strategy.

Yeah. It's kinda shit, on the one hand you don't really want gatekeeping because you want people to join your "thing"and contribute however they can. You want to share your "thing" and see other people be passionate about it. But on the other hand, if your "thing" is getting popular it can also attract narcissists and sociopaths who will want in on it for their own benefit. Trannies are a subset of those.
So you gotta gatekeep those, but how? You don't necessarily want to make your "thing" hostile to certain people, but well, if they come in they tend to ruin your shit for everyone. It's just shit, in the end it's basically the emergence of trannies in your "thing" demanding to be coddled and included only creates and increases transphobia.
Oh well, it's not really set in stone, and in the end you gotta evaluate everyone as individuals. Any contributor that is doing good work but happens to be trans should be welcome. But someone who is a troon first and foremost and does nothing but bring in troonery, isn't.

Apparently the only way to prevent this from happening is to have a BDFL that can see through this nonsense and is not afraid to be canceled. I'm not sure if this is possible in projects of the Beyond Skyrim scale.

Just stay unpopular. Skyrim is too popular, any larger project will attract grifters, narcissists, and their combination, the troons. If you want to recreate the entire continent of Tamriel, get into PT instead, it's more niche and won't need gatekeeping.
It's also simply better because it focuses on the old-style lore and writing.
Did you know that the closest you can get to marriage in vanilla Morrowind is a Khajiit lady in Pelagiad? Yeah, marriage is only for furries in that one.
