Speaking of the holidays, I wish y'all were here in Japan because December is basically the Japanese equivalent of Valentine's Day over here.
People go to KFC and eat chicken and have one night stands right before Christmas.
Girls will practically throw themselves at guys just so they can say they can brag that they had a special memory to their friends.
Which is why I've been pretty busy as of late.
It's wild over here right now
Halloween is also going to be another new "Hookup Event" in Japan, what's with the partying, costumes, nampa/picking up girls, and general insanity of Japanese people loosing up their pent-up stress and frustation
Edit: Ayame isn't the only holomem to take unannounced breaks and hiatus anyway. Haachama has taken months long breaks for the same reasons and I don't see anyone pointing their fingers at her.
Lots of people have been talking that Haachama is going to graduate soon, what's with the strees of the Taiwan Incident, returning to Japan, college, and management and Youtube tard wrangling her
Surprised no one has said it but Gura is having a previously unannounced members only karaoke right now.
Before she started singing though she was talking about their new outfits that have been announced. She was saying that they had a lot more input to it this time, thus implying that they really didn't with their previous ones, or at least she didn't. She nearly said something along the lines of that she really likes it "this time" but quickly changed to just that she really likes "this outfit", again kind of implying she really doesn't like her second outfit. Guess that's why she very rarely uses it and usually sticks with her hoodie.
Also she has said she has asked for a sailor outfit/seifuku, but so far has been denied. Sounds like she is really into it and thinks it would be cute not just for her, but if they did a school uniform for everyone! She wants the whole thing - short skirt, button up shirt, long socks., etc. All I can say is... cultured sharkie! I can only hope for a Gura with ZR.
Interesting that she said the talents have a lot of inputs this time. I wonder if this is a new thing company-wide or just a HoloEN/Myth thing
I'm sorry, I thought this is Kiwifarms
I remember Kson complaining that a Large pizza in Japan is just a small in the US as well.
So does that mean that a Japanese medium is a American kids meal?
Its less that Japan has a smaller portion, and more that US has a larger portion than the rest of the world
It makes me think, do KSon knows about the VShoujo drama? The timing, after the collab with Melody, can't be just a coincidence
In other news apparently Sony did a Apex tournament where several vtubers and streamers participated Towa was a guest, Sony also throwed their Chubas for good measure even when they barely have been out for 2 weeks
They also finally got their Cubegame server
They are not exploding in numbers but there is certain something about verse that make me keep a eye on them
I usually tune in to one of their streams. They really have nice voice and personality I really hope they gets bigger. Is this what a fan of smaller/indie VTuber feel whenever they watch their oshi's streams?
I think I saw one of them get driveby shitposted by the "hello I am american kimota oji-san" guy that's been making the rounds lately.
I'm sorry, which one again?
Okay, I didn't know about this until now, so here goes:
Gwelu is gunning for 1 mil subs, and has been doing a challenge stream for a while (either he gets 1 mil or his PC dies first. He has been streaming nonstop for while now)
Now one of his projects to reach this goal is by playing games with fans, so Gwelu and Tamaki wanted to play a Mafia/Werewolf game with their fans.
Unfortunately, the game requires voice chat and Niji rules state they can't play with non-livers/Vtubers/Youtubers with VC on (to protect them from potential yabs)
Gwelu and Tamaki attempt to circumvent this by having a 24 hour delay on the release of the VOD to give management a chance to check. This was approved
Now, in these types of games, names are randomized and you're not supposed to know the identity of the players (one player is supposed to be the killer and another is supposed to be a police officer, and others are random bystanders, etc. Part of the fun is not knowing who is who)
During the course of the game, one player managed to recognize Tamaki's voice, and fanboy'd about being able to play with his oshi. Niji caught wind of this an privated the whole video.
Gwelu and Tamaki got pissed because they thought it was a stupid rule. So they cooked up a brilliant idea - they released a video trying to convince the people who played with them to become Vtubers so that they can get their VOD back, citing how Kuzuha was able to play with 2 fans (who where small time Vtubers) with VC on.
Kuzuha fans saw this as Gwelu and Tamaki basically trying to say that Niji management has double standards and that Gwelu asserted that they are willing to bend the rules for Kuzuha but not for others. Shitstorm happened, and this new video also got privated and Gwelu has since stated that his project of playing with fans is now cancelled

I've just been wondering about if we will see a drama coming from the other side of the ocean, but this is hilarious. Turns out the Niji culture of only sticking to oneself is going to bite them in the ass. It reminds me with the Roa incident as well, the behaviour was the same
This was a drama that got known overseas because someone translated. Imagine the amount of those we don't know because of the language barrier
