The specific term "Taqiyya" is from Shia Islam, it was actually developed in response to attacks from Sunnis. The doctrine basically states "if you're surrounded by Sunnis and they ask about your sect affiliation, it's okay to lie and tell them you're Sunni so you don't get killed."

However, the concept of cozying up to infidels without stating your true intentions until you can catch them off-guard is clearly stated in the Koran. They also have rules like "don't pre-emptively attack non-believers... unless you think that they're planning to attack you, wink wink." Flimsy fig leaves hiding their imperative to conquer and destroy. So the principle that's called "Taqiyya" exists in Islam, but that word specifically isn't used to reference it.

My HIGH SCHOOL literally wouldn't let me keep my asthma inhaler on me as a kid for gym classes. I had to go all the way down to the nurse's office in the basement to take it and be late to every single gym class.
