Surprised about Owl House to be honest. In the syndicated animation scene (not quite sure how to phrase it, hahaha) it was noted for how successfully it was able to cater to every child demographic with the cast. Well, The Owl House is one of those that jams LGBT rep down your throat, so they may have crippled themselves with that. But the show is very popular online, and with streaming, it's hard to say if the 10 a.m. TV slot even matters for how they calculate the ratings.

Owl House wasn't popular. It was a ratings disaster by Disney's standards and the creator and her boyfriend (Alex Hirsch) didn't help their cause baiting and switching Disney (they pitched girl Harry Potter but got lesbian witches instead) and them shitting on Disney non-stop for not being woke enough for them or giving them the marketing push they felt, as being deserved for a show run by the Gravity Falls creator's girlfriend.

The show was recently canceled and the third season has been shortened to be a couple of specials so they can get it off the air ASAP. And the creator is currently crying like a cunt because Disney owns the IP lock stock and barrel (meaning it's a dead franchise) and people calling her out on the fact that she allegedly turned down an offer from Netflix that would have let her keep ownership of the show, because the gash wanted DISNEY to release it, so she could "stick it to the CIS gendered straight white man" by having them financial/release her animated lesbian cartoon.

That, I give you, but answer me this. If The Owl House is so popular, why is Disney canning it with only 3 45 minute specials while stuff like Amphibia and Big City Greens are getting full third seasons?

Because the show runners for A and BCG didn't start shit on Twitter attacking the Mouse and when given notes/instructed to put all the gay scenes in throwaway moments that could be cut for overseas airing, they smiled and did so without complaint while the gash and Hirsch kept throwing a never ending stream of temper tantrums.

And even then, Amphibia almost didn't get a new season because there was controversy over one of the finales because they offed a major character, which created issues with Disney executives that only got resolved in the creator's favor BECAUSE they held their tongue so that when they threw a shit fit over network meddling, they had enough good will to get the Mouse to let them have their way.
