Why is it so strange for someone who has never watched DSP, never participated in chat, never left a comment, is not subscribed, and appeared out of nowhere to tip $150?
Simping aside (I can understand the motivation even if I don't share it), why would anyone tip a video game streamer, or any other kind of streamer, at all? $150 makes no sense to me, but $5 also makes no sense to me.

Do these people want Phil to like them? And if so, why?

But MORE than happy to place empty console boxes behind him, along with a YouTube play button. Oh, and when he feels down, he pulls out the mall trophy he won back in 1997 for Tekken 3 to "make himself feel better.", along with begging dent heads for their SSI checks. Yeah, totally not a shill.
Has he really said that about the tekken trophy?!

Meanwhile on TKOH dead forum, MoraMoria has completely lost his last drip of sanity

"Phil will put on a vest for FREE"

Mora please, go seek medical help now if you actually believe that

Or change your name to MorahnMoria

Whichever works for you, okay?

I believe this is the one. I'm at work right now and looked on PigPigGo.

Ah yes. The trophy he won in the first half of the 90’s on a console that came out in the second half of the 90’s (ok, end of 95, but close enough)

That's the one. Him bragging about how it makes him "feel better" when life gets him down, he goes to it. Kinda like a former high school football player puts on his varsity jacket and thinks of the good times, instead of the dead-end job he's stuck in, with a wife who's divorcing him, and all of his high school buddies talk about the game winning drives of yesteryear. Well, in Phil's case, it's just the voices in his head and the dent-heads in his chat.

Loneliness is a bitch.

There are lots of guys out there who waste hundreds on random anime girl vtubers who don't even remember their names some seconds after being superchatted. They do it just to be briefly recognized by a girl they find cute.

It's really pathetic, but kinda sad when you think about it.

I think it's basically the same thing with Phil's piglets. But instead of a cute girl, they have a greasy, snorting pig. They probably enjoy being the guys who can make an impact on Phil's life.

Phil is also a very small streamer. So a whale is more noticed than if they tried to be whales to hololive girls, for example, who get thousands of dollars.

But most streamers thrive on (primarily male) loneliness.

I'm listening to his youtube suspension rant from a few years ago and I have to say, this shit just blows my mind. He's ranting about his google account connected to his youtube being suspended for "spam" while explaining his channel uploads as the definition of spam.

"What I actually think happened is, there's some algorithm behind the scenes of youtube, that looks for spam and for whatever reason they turned on this algorithm on google+ recently, a new one probably. They turned on another algorithm and I guess, what's happening is probably on my google+ page you're seeing 30 posts a day, in a lot of cases with similar names, for example: when I upload H1Z1 gameplay, I'm not titling every video because it's all the same, so it's like "H1Z1 from June 5th 2018 part 1", "H1Z1 from June 5th part 2" and that's how I title those videos.

30+ videos per day with the same name, what a retarded algorithm from those dumbfucks at google to consider that as spam.

Male loneliness and women who want to be a part of something. The culture around streaming is so fucked up. There's plenty of good streamers that create entertaining or informative content, but even among those, the financial benefit is based on utilizing people's lack of social connection.

One thing that amazes me about the podcast thing is that Phil has the life experience of a teenager. He has no interesting hobbies, no knowledge of useful stuff, nothing.

So how the fuck can this guy talk so much during the prestreams? I've never listened to an entire prestream, but it's wild how a guy who has no interesting characteristics can talk to himself for one hour or more almost everyday.

Does he repeat stuff? Is every prestream half recycled garbage, half shitty gaming news?
Phil can rant for an hour, but it's content that you have to be deep, deep into the "lore" of Phil to care about. It's just about how he was wronged or cheated or how he didn't really do that shitty thing you saw him do. That's why his channel has died a (very) slow death for so long, and why it will never grow. In order to reverse this course, Phil would have to 1) recognize the problem, 2) totally change his personality and 3) get an infusion of talent and charisma from somewhere, and that ain't happening.
