What does karma do? I know some subs won't let you post if you have insufficient karma, but is there any other purpose rather than just showing you have the correct opinions because you have a high score?

Nope. If your comment karma goes into the negatives you get rate-limited on how often you can post though.
Going into the deep negatives without being banned is a fun challenge.

Excruciatingly detailed behavioural analysis to determine race isn’t a Reddit exclusive sadly, it’s very well present on Tumblr and Instagram (unsurprisingly).

Have I ever mentioned the Monsanto shill team on Reddit? It's pretty fucking weird. If somebody mentioned the patenting of GMOs or the impact of pesticides, this team of two or three accounts would almost instantly show up and flood the thread/post with replies defending specifically Monsanto. They'd get madassed and try to lambast who ever was speaking about attacking the concept of genetic modifcation of crops in general and over all completely attempt to misconstrue whatever their argument was. Even if I have to imagine that this was a 24/7 paid set of employees, their dedication was ridiculous.

This is one of those "all sides are losers" cases. I mean, making fun of "antiwork" is too easy. But Kellogs has become one of those woke "Suck the girldick, bigot!" corporations, so they deserve to get fucked out of money.
