He paid $200 for a fucking Hori controller? (I know he said it got gifted to him but, come on) I’m speechless. Even if we assume he’s being 1000% true and honest about never playing WWEC or ordering copious amounts of DoorDash and alcohol, it’s no wonder this dumb son of a bitch never has any funds and has to beg actual children for their allowance money. Slight powerlevel(?) but I looked into picking up a fight stick recently and it took one YouTube search to find this video featuring multiple different arcade pads, all of which having detailed overviews and costing nearly two to three times less than that shit Phil got.

I’m aware his explanation would probably be something along the lines of “I’m a pro fighting game player d00d, I literally placed at EVO one year okay? I need better equipment so I’m not held back *snort*” but you’d think for how broke he constantly claims to be that he could settle for a slightly less fancy budget stick, especially since he would only be using it once or twice a week max. But no, it costs more so it must be better, right Phil?

Holy shit. The levels of retardation he reaches never cease to amaze me.
If he had any mechanical skill he could replace the pcb in his stick and put a Brook Universal board in it.

Cheaper than a new stick and you can use the stick you're used to for all your consoles. Also I think there's a dongle you can buy to make controllers and sticks work on other consoles. I know Smug used an Xbox controller on PS4 for tournaments for a long time.

Per his own words, he isn't a techie, he's a gaymer. As for the dongle, Phil isn't willing to do the research to figure out which one is the best; because while I know he isn't interested in being "tournament legal" as much as he talks about what is and isn't. Tournaments ban certain dongles and devices for possibility of cheating or being unreliable (random disconnects and such). Phil probably knows that much, but doesn't want to put in the time or money to figure out which is the best.

Dave "used to build computers" Burnell can't even tell you what version of Windows he's using. He claims the computer he uses to stream with wouldn't be able to handle Fightcade. Not able to handle emulating 20-30 year old sprite based fighting games. He couldn't wrap his head around what he would do if that new laptop crashed and it needed to be "restored" when it didn't come with a restore disk or cd drive. It's not the early 2000s, Phil. You download a Windows/Linux ISO, you "burn" it to a USB stick.

So by my count anonymous fans have sent him:

- A chair
- A laptop
- A Hori stick
- An Xbox Series X that sat unopened for 8 months
- A stream deck
- A 4K TV (old lore?)

Boy, for someone so paranoid about being messed with he sure does get a lot of mystery benefactors.
Wasn't the Xbox version of the SF Anniversary Collection also allegedly donated? This just made me realize how absurd this all is if we take him on his word. He's gonna play a donated game on a donated console while using a donated fightstick. All of them donated by anonymous fans because the psychopathic Detractor Mafia is gonna put out hits on them and get them whacked if they knew who those donators were of course.

And since Phil loves comparing himself to an actual business, imagine if you ate at a restaurant and every half an hour people claiming to be loyal customers, wearing ski masks to stay anonymous, would show up to donate silverware, plates, kitchen knives, ingredients, stoves, blenders etc. Would you call that a business or a charity case?

If we’re talking in 2021, he’s also received:
- Multiple hats for the $100 hat goal (Amazon credit)
- Hori neckphones (Amazon credit)
- Hundreds of dollars worth of PS / Xbox / Nintendo credits
- Free game codes & beta invites
- Spare PS5 Controller (might have been last year)

Maybe some more, but that’s all I can remember off the top of my head right now.

The HORI stick now feels like a total impulse buy on a drunk night for him. That thing is going to collect dust because he told everyone to relax, and that he will be also playing on PS occasionally, too. Nigger is only playing ST with it.

The fact it's also HORI after he has disingenuously shilled their products along with Microsoft (for free?) lately makes this whole thing just really suspect. Especially receiving this shortly after deciding to get the collection on XBOX.

He seems really confident to be using this thing a lot and totally didn't want to relive his spoiled single child past where he gets gifted toys this time of year.

Can someone explain to me why the fuck he plays Street Fighter on the Xbox now? Because I can't think of a valid reason.
230 dollars down the drain.
His official reasoning was that the connections may be better on Xbox. They weren't. Not only that but there's even less people to play with than on the PSN version and even that one is a ghost town.
The unofficial reasoning from the Kiwifarts, which is the one I subscribe to, is so that he can run away from Jose and Goji.

His tax bill is going to easily be $10 -15k this year

1) dodge Gogitenks
2) dodge Jose (already a failed mission I believe - bugged dodging mechanics dood)
3) only play scrubs

He has a stream deck and won't use it because he thinks he'd have to pay money to upgrade to Windows 10, and then when chat tells him he can do it for free he still refuses because he doesn't want to break anything.

What does he do instead? He holds up a cheap dollar store sound maker into his mic and then wonders why his viewership drops overnight.

DSP discovering YouTube functions that have been around for quite a while. Trying to argue he'd be doing so much better if YouTube didn't flood his subscriber's inbox; when as far as I can remember, YouTube has had a "Do not publish to subscribers" checkbox so even if you upload something, there won't be a notification sent out. Doing something as simple as letting his first video of the day go out with a notification, and all subsequent videos not send the alert. That way his true and honest subs would go "Oh, he put a new video up" go there and find a myriad of videos.

Something Phil could've done himself, but he wants to blame YouTube for.
Or, maybe not have spammed his viewers sub boxes to begin with. Hell, he is still doing to a lesser degree with the whole reuploading in multiple parts for no reason that benefits the viewing experience. Sub boxes being flooded is his fault.
The RAP4 is decent enough for casual play, I use one when I play guilty gear and blazblue cross tag. Though definitely not worth the usual 200$ price, and not something anyone would or should flaunt around as if it's the next thing to save your business.
I've said it before but his idea that the stream will be saved by some new purchase is Chris Chan levels of fucking stupid. He's always behind a game's coverage cycle because of the early copies streamers and reviewers get and any none game purchase won't fix the reason his streams struggle. He never thought to himself "what does buying this stick do for my business?" because there is no reason. It won't help him play any better, and he barely plays any FG that isn't his 30 year old hugbox because he can't handle the idea of losing.

He got that stream deck years ago, and since then had gotten a new laptop to manage his stream chat. If the new laptop doesn't have windows 10 then he managed to waste more money on something that he never needed in the first place. He bought something that he could've used to set up the stream deck but is instead only uses it to watch chat, something the old laptop did with zero issues entirely.

He even admitted that the connections weren't any better on xbox, but instead of thinking "maybe it's my connection" like a sane person, he attributed it to the game. Even though he supposedly has bad connections on every FG ever released.

Gotta love those 2 business-class internet lines from fucking Comcast! Seriously, why does he pay for 2?!

It's funny that in the last month or so almost all discussion about Phil's streams has dropped to simply a summary at the end. He's reached the point of being so boring even us autists can't watch him.

It's sad because I love to go back to old TIHYDPs and see he used to be bursting with energy and life even though he was still full-on retarded. He just feels so dead and boring now. He can't be happy, but then again he gets his champions stipend and total wine allowance so, why bother even faking enthusiasm I suppose.

Sad state, really hoping more gold dust comes soon.

I haven't even watched DSP in forever, but is he even any better with the stick than he is with a controller? Does he claim to like it more? Personally I am way better with a stick and enjoy it infinitely more, and during the one or two hours a month I play vidya I use it for everything I possibly can, including non fighters. But I know a lot of folks are the opposite or just don't feel comfortable using them.

I am legitimately curious now to know if he is noticeably any better with one, if he actually enjoys it over the pad, or if he is just being a poser and using it because he has seen that it is what all the actual "professional" fighting gamers use. I guess I'll have an answer if he starts shilling a Hitbox.
