He likes power more than fame. IIRC, he doesn't watch tv or fuck around on the internet. I'm sure he likes the attention, but he likes it because of the influence rather than the ass-pats. He probably has more political influence than a Senator right now, and rather than owing anybody for that power, he has his employers by the balls, because he could step out on his own and take his audience to go.
As for what he wants to do with all that power, I think he just wants to keep the American Experiment going and fight the return to Feudalism that seems to happen when power is left unchecked.

My guess is that TPTB, knowing 2022 is lost, is fully aware that if Omar, Waters, AOC etc are already in place to seize control over the House Democrats side the second Pelosi goes away. And that fucking TERRIFIES them since the cunt squad will pretty much go salt earth doing all sorts of evil vile shit to make 2024 impossible if they are in charge of a minority Democrat party in the House. Well, he's probably been dead inside for at least that long. I know Beau dying really hit him hard. For all of Biden's innumerable flaws, he at least appears to have genuine love and affection for his sons. Even if the only one left alive is well, Hunter. Given his constant fuckups not even 10% to The Big Guy would keep him safe if Joe didn't genuinely care for him, and not as a source of income.

Pretty much yeah. I didn't pay much attention to how he acted when the Thirteen came home, but from what I heard about the way he kept talking about Beau it was the less the ramblings of a delusionally self-important man and more those of a dying old man with nothing but regrets and dementia inside of his head having the most vivid, painful recollections he's had in a long, long time.
