Correcting Chris would ultimately be cheaper on the taxpayer than paying for his lard-ass for the next 20+ years (I doubt he will live to 70), Otherwise, he's going to have to be dealt with in prison or a care home on John Q Public's dime to keep him out of trouble. You can't turn him loose to suffer on his own either, as in the homeless saga he'll almost certainly devolve into a life of petty crime and at the very least becoming a crazy street screamer, harming businesses in whatever community he drifts to.

There's a difference between "correcting" which to me implies that you'd have to figure out a way to fix his behaviors so he could hold down a job and stop being a public nuisance which would require a top of the line specialist vs. putting him in a low budget group home that nannies him, but doesn't actually fix any of the core issues.

I hate to be that person but… Don't you guys think it's just about time he's put away for good? Letting him out is not going to do any good whatsoever. Who knows what he could do to someone else or himself. The fact that he wasn't dealt with sooner is a shame. But that's the fault of his parents for not wanting to get him the help that he needed from a young age. But it's also his fault for the shit he's done because he knows better to an extent.
