General Discussion for Virtual Youtubers / Vtubers / Chuubas - it's okay to be a simp for 2D, just don't thirstpost.

If you're looking for some form of virtual validation, you could try your hand at following the small tubers (~ less than 1k subs for example) or those with a fraction of recurrent viewers (anywhere from 3 to 70 depending on stream).
I've had my shitty jokes and comments read from time to time, hell one of my dumb comments made Bae laugh once, but that is as far as I can take this parasocial nonsense. Any more and you're looking at Perfect Blue/Lyger/Mark Dave Chapman levels of delusion.

"Never been a fan of the edgy swearing constantly vtubers like Coco, Kiara, Calli, etc, so pretty much turning me off of her. Also rap is crap and the whole rap battle stuff she has been doing is not my cup of tea either."

In her case we can literally say "it's just a phase, mom". She has these quirky personality arcs that change once every few months.
She is very easily influenced by other Holomems and it is especially noticeable when any new generations come out, with a new set of skills/personalities to copy onto herself. The rap arc was triggered by Calli/Laplus.

I like smaller channels as much as the next guy, but most of them are clearly not very good at it.
Having your comment read "feels" nice, but you have to slog through hours of silence because most of them are still new or uncomfortable with streaming in general.

That being said, there are a few diamonds in the rough, and finding them is amazing

She's answering questions from curriouscat right now. Check out her new model it's pretty amazing what this indie chuba was able to get.

Typing "vtuber" in the youtube search bar can be entertaining indeed. Setting filter for live streams only and enjoy scrolling through countless and countless piles of 2views. You find both diamonds and horrific abominations.

Not to kick off another round of ethics in doxing diatribes. I just do want to remind people visiting that the rules for this site on doxing are very permissive if you are on topic, and this thread isn't an exception.

For people actually making a dox post, use your own judgement. Outside of some pretty narrow exceptions you get to decide what you include. You did the work after all.

Some things to do are: Format it well. Be funny. And don't hint about information you're not willing to post. If you have someone's nephew's kid's graduation photo and don't want to post it then shut up about it and don't mention it in your post.

Abigail made a little under 10k from August 1st 2019 to October 1st 2021. She is probably doing a little better now that her channel has grown though

I think there is a market for genuine wholesomeness and I believe Abigail is genuine. I'm sure there's also a chunk of people in the Bible Belt who enjoy chubas but can't speak moonspeak and don't wanna watch EN chubas like Nyaners who's really foulmouthed. I don't know how big she can get but if God really is directing her then she'll get as big as she needs to be.
