Let's pretend for one moment that he does die before the election, just for the funsies. What happens then? Will the nomination revert to option number 2, aka Bernie Sanders? Or will his running mate automatically replace him just the way Vice-President is supposted to step in after the Big Man in the White House chokes on a piece of matzo? Does he even have a running mate yet?

I went to a county fair in Fonda, and it was nice to see that despite the state being ocean blue, the Trump-loving boomers were there, and honestly, they are fun people who genuinely love the man.

Still regret not buying a "Don't Tread On Me" flag though.

I have a three day contract tomorrow in Queens, and I'm actually quite excited to see whether or not I'll get shouted at by other passengers on the subway for not wearing a mask now that the state has arbitrarily decided to reinstate the mandate. I've never been given attitude about it by anyone who wasn't an MTA worker or a cop. I think a lot of people here really just don't give a shit and comply because it's easier than being given a stern warning.

Apart from the obvious (the boonies are gorgeous, meanwhile walking through Chelsea makes me wanna Minecraft myself), voting-wise, it gets red really fast. I don't have the data in front of me, but the blue/red cutoff is around Ulster/Dutchess Counties, with the only real Democrat holdouts being the upstate cities, none of which save for Buffalo could possibly carry an election on its own if even a quarter of the greater NYC area flipped red.

The NYT 2020 Election Map does a good job of depicting this stark difference:

The colors of this map are somewhat deceiving. Those light/pale red areas you see covering most of Upstate NY make it look like a small margin, when in reality they're actually anywhere between +15 and +50 Trump. The sole exception to the "Democrats only congregate in cities" trend is that massive splotch of blue you see between Binghampton, Syracuse and Rochester - there's no major city there but it still voted +70 Biden.

There's something about living in an environment without distinct seasons that makes the people a little unhinged. On the flip side though, Florida exists and we can all agree it's a net positive (Disneyworld notwithstanding).

I hope rural California is feeling likewise with upstate New York with the new statewide mask mandate.

Living in the Bay Area I sure as hell won't be putting with it.

This is a hard choice but California has a direct pipeline to Mexico which New York doesn't and Mexicans are much more conservative than Democrats realize. California is also ahead of New York's curve in terms of just letting illegal immigrants do shit they shouldn't be doing. Leftists are probably hoping that the Mexico to Texas pipeline will turn it blue but they're sadly mistaken in believing so.

Any illegal immigrant that votes Democrat is more likely to get deported for assault or murder than to actually get anywhere politically. Texas isn't soft on illegal immigrants like California is so they have zero motive to let illegal immigrants vote either, Texas is a Republican stronghold and remain as such until the end of time. In many ways, Texas is like the red California, if only Texas made movies & competed with Hollywood & would be the perfect rivalry.

This also goes without mentioning that Texas is currently attempting to wall off Mexico like Trump wanted to do.

Pataki had his par for the course corruption, but it just makes me paraphrase something Baris said about Clinton and Dubya:

I couldn't care less for Pataki. But I would love to have him in office right now instead of an Andrew Cuomo, or a Kathy Hochul.

Expect a lot of dead pedos under mysterious circumstances. The producer had more money then most in his station. He’s likely connected to powerful fucks and I wouldn’t be surprised to see another epstine. What interests me most is how this got out. Did the one good guy at cnn find this shit investigating cumo? Did cumo burn all his buddy’s for fucking him over in an unthinking explosion of resentment? Dem civil war? For better or worse, shit is breaking down and we can finally see behind the curtain.
