I feel as though there's also something to be said about forcible penetration with an actual sex organ. Genitals are vectors for STDs, and it's a deal more difficult for a woman to force someone unwilling to penetrate her vagina (besides maybe oral sex). Not that it doesn't happen; it absolutely does - but most rape involves forcible (or at least coercive) penetration by the perpetrator, either by fingers or by an object, if not a penis.
Being penetrated when unwilling also usually involves more physical injury than being forced to penetrate. This is especially true when there is no regard for the victim's comfort and lubrication is likely not in abundance. There's also the risk of pregnancy in male-on-female rape. However, do note that the law does not require the victim to be female.
Does this justify an entirely separate law? Probably not, but admittedly I am not very knowledgable about law and I am not very familiar with the UK's especially. Something sort of tells me that the law has ties to the historical view that raping a woman is seen as damaging a man's property, since sexual purity, virginity, and chastity used to be a huge deal when it came to a women's "value", and raped women were thought as unmarriable, damaged goods, etc.

The fact that this wikipedia entry is as apologetic for the practice of wife-selling as it is stands out to me as an example of the banality of misogyny. Women were not seen as distinct individuals, legally speaking, during this time period and this is mentioned in the entry. But that boring little fact is immediately abandoned in favor of apologetics. “Some wives demanded to be sold,” the entry asserts, without examining in any way the possible motivation a disenfranchised woman of this time might have felt it was better to face the humiliation of a public auction than one more day with their CURRENT OWNER.
If this still happened in England you just KNOW some pervert in a granny dress with a homemade halter sporting a full erection would be following every wife-selling procession all the way to market just absolutely SCREECHING that it’s transphobia that nobody wants to sell him too.

Does anybody remember a bizarre parody of Sesame Street that used to be on MTV2 called Wonder Showzen? In its fifth episode, "Nature" Mother Nature wants to get a sex change operation and as a result the show portrays how it is fucking up the Earth and while it was joke, the episode had a healthy anti-troon message. As this was back in 2005, there is no way that the woke mob would let it fly today. I remember the part where Mother Nature was getting surgery had creepy synth music and fucked up visuals about life on Earth being destroyed and after Mother Nature dies from surgical complications, Chauncey tries to get down with her discarded "lady parts" in the biowaste container.

That wasn't the first episode. Nature was the 5th Episode. Hilariously! The History Episode about the GREATEST SUICIDE EVER is the only episode of Season 1 not on Paramount Plus.
