idk call me a simp but I find it alot harder to really mock the girls who fall into this trap. A hysterectomy isn’t a minor surgery. It has life long consequences both because of hormones but also because a woman’s body is designed to have a uterus holding up everything. It’s not a first line treatment and shouldn’t be.

Interestingly, there is some evidence that suggests that hysterectomy is positively linked to developing dementia, particularly at an earlier onset. Hysterectomy appears to increase risk over no hysterectomy, then hysterectomy with unilateral oophorectomy (removal of one ovary) increases risk more than just hysterectomy, and finally hysterectomy with bilateral oophorectomy (removal of both ovaries) increases that risk again, IIRC- and obviously most FTMs would get the latter procedure as they do not want to try to preserve normal endocrine function. I wonder too if the fact that FTMs would not take HRT estrogen would have a further effect on the potential cognitive issues.
Increased risk of heart disease is also associated (compounded again by testosterone in FTMs) with hysterectomy (even without oophorectomy). I also think I read something that suggested that long term risks are more serious/likely the younger the recepient of the surgery. Might check my sources on this, God forbid I give my beloved farms bad information.
This is not even taking into account the more commonly known issues associated with hysterectomy like prolapse, urinary tract complications, sexual dysfunction, ovary failure when ovaries are left intact.
