My take about Druckmann is that he's probably just naive. He's a sincere believer in the values he holds and doesn't think anything bad will happen.

Just think about it. A shrewd businessman trying to cater to the woke for clout might have a tranny in his game, but he wouldn't rotoscope his author insert into the game fucking her. Druckmann did that in TLoU2. He's not in this out of some kind of cynical benefit calculation.

Thanks, that's interesting, though maybe I shouldn't be surprised. On the other hand, that's a survey of 850 college students. I think a broader survey would show that Republicans and Democrats both don't want to be around each other. Current-year Democrats are probably more zealous about boycotting Republican businesses, but it feels a bit disingenuous to imply that Republicans on the whole are much more tolerant of the other party.

ok I read it, he does not mention at all what his father has done but you can infer from how he dances around it that it is due to political beliefs entirely. He also isn't actually interested in reconciling and building a relationship, he only wants his dad to change and to learn whatever this faggot wants "to teach him." He now also hates and has cut out his mother because she won't bend to his will.

The funny thing about this is just the other day before this news came out, Neoxon and the likes were trying to insinuate that anyone who disliked Forspoken was doing so because they were secretly racist. Yes, it's a study of college students, but it's about tolerance only in that these people on the left don't have any. The point I took away from it, and I believe there's been at least a couple of similar studies/polls in the last year, is that while the right disagrees with and dislikes the left, the left hates the right and regards them as vermin on the face of the earth. Or at least the ResetEra types do, and have no shame in parading it around and using it as a social threat.

I'm not defending Republicans at all, there's plenty who act the same about libtards. But the study reinforces for me something I think ResetEra embodies, which is an utter hatred and contempt for anyone not perfectly aligned with their views. People to their right are all lumped together as a subhuman mass of alt-right Nazi fascist bigots whose mere existence counts as a death threat against them. Meanwhile, those same people, even people with legitimately right-wing views, think they're libtard moronic degenerates - but they can tolerate them, maybe even accept that there's differences of opinion, with another person.

So while the right can tolerate - not accept, but at least tolerate - the left, but the left can't even get to tolerating the right. You'd certainly never say that ResetEra is a bastion of tolerating any deviating from their norm, and the same is true of other SJW forums we have threads on here. It's a skewed sample, but it's definitely not the narrative of which side has the zealous cultists we're constantly told about.
