you'd figure at this point he'd have them like twice a week, or a day or two after 'controversies' drop. Especially if he is repeating points he has already made in the past. Also, he doesn't work at the escapist anymore, where he had to have a weekly time slot.
oh yeah i forgot, he also needs his daily PTSD therapy which i presume he still does.... right? he wouldnt just post that he needs up to 6 hours of ptsd therapy per day, just for attention. No wonder he can't work more than a days... a few hours per day.
on a side note, does he still stream? I remember I saw his dying light stream a few years ago, and he was eating McDonalds pancakes into the microphone and people said they didnt like to hear him chew pancakes on stream and he said "My wife went to the trouble to get me mcdonalds and im going to eat this. go away and watch something else" he said something like that.

Keeping this schedule might be the only good channel management decision he has made in the last two years. If you train your audience that a new video shall show up on Monday morning or whenever for 8 years, they will watch on Monday morning like it's their job. Given how he's tweaked every other aspect of the channel to be as repellent as possible, the schedule could very well be why he's somehow still above 700k. In circumstances where the channel is trying to provide the content their audience wants, a consistent schedule is nothing but positive reinforcement for the audience. Look how long Josh stuck around with Jimmy after it became clear that he was a fat screaming retard
Never mind subscribers. That nigga be losing views faster than Doctor Who.
From Social Blade - the top graph is embarrassing. But the bottom one is downright catastrophic.
Views are way more important than subscribers anyway. Subscribers are just a way for youtubers to compare dick sizes, but views are a more representative measure of the size of someone's audience.
And Jim's views regularly went above 2 million a month in 2019. Now they are less than a fifth of that. And if Jim didn't have his enablers on Patreon, he'd probably be forced to evolve his channel or die. (Obligatory: it is evolving, just backwards,)
Social Blade's graphs only go back 3 years from now. And because I'm , I wrote every number from here in a table so we'll still have access to the data when Jim's glory years are but a distant memory.

(Posted with the expectation that the data will be added to on the off-chance that we're still talking about Sterling in ~2 years.)
Having the data in its raw form allows us to do things with it, like breaking it down by month, or by year, which gives us this tidy little summary of the size of his audience:

The really big drop really happened in September 2020, about a month after coming out as non-binary.
If I was still cringe and bluepilled, I'd be questioning why a site like Youtube (because there would be no question that it'd be Youtube's fault) had allowed the channel of a successful non-binary creator to just wither on the vine like this. Do they not care about supporting diverse voices?
Combining this with figures from the site that's autistically cataloguing 7-day viewing figures in the UK for Doctor Who, we see that actually their yearly totals are not so different:
And yes, it does indeed seem that Jim Fucking Sterling Son is bleeding viewers faster than the shittiest era of Doctor Who.
Anybody who bitches it is just because youtube and the viewers are phobic should be subjected to marathoning Jim post 2018.
Actually this is something that could be used as torture material for clockwork orange. Wear them down with the broken rocord then finish them off with the eye cancer of the troon out.
The subs/views breakdown was very interesting, with Fat James trending downwards for the last two years but cratering everything through becoming a genderblob. Given how Johnny Yaniv was able to push YouTube around while being equally as convincing as a non-man until he was finally exposed as a creepy predator, is James just too unpleasant for YouTube to bend to?
The perspective on the importance of subs v views was interesting, and I mostly agree, but I think engagement is a big piece of the picture once a channel gets to a certain size. Does the google API let us see how many of the weekly views come from subscribers? Potentially even more interesting, does the API let us find out how many people are clicking on "stop recommending channel"? It would be illuminating, and probably very predictable to see how many non-subscribers say "never show me this shit again" over time. I think he's not only driving away his audience, but he's also repelling uninterested ransoms who could otherwise be converted to viewers
I think it largely game down to the fact that most other video game youtubers and websites would just shill for companies while he'd point out legitimate problems and wasn't afraid to shit on video game companies. The thing is he's been doing that for ten years now and is still repeating the same shit he was saying ten years ago, except now with added communism pushing and tranny shit.
Jim was far from the only person shitting on bad industry practices, even back in the early 2010s, that's just a personal retcon he came up with. What made Jim unique is he actually made full videos about the problems, instead of just saying 'fuck microtransactions' like most others at the time, and because he was somewhat funny he was able to essentially make an industry analysis edutainment show, which is far more appealing to a lot of people than the incredibly dry graphs of Digital Foundry or number-crunching of a Forbes article.
The problem Jim has always had, that has only grown more apparent over time as he repeated himself and became more bitter, is he isn't actually qualified to bloviate the way he does. He has no background in economics or business, no knowledge of coding or anything else that goes into games; he is about as qualified to speak on these topics as the average Reddit atheist is to speak on religion, with the same amount of USI.
This is why his videos became repetitive: He can't propose any actual solutions because he has no idea how the industry (or business in general) works; all he can do is point to the bad thing and say it's bad or copy someone else's analogy (perfect pasta sauce) and apply it to video games.
Something tells me the fetish euphoria would stop once the people one the street point out his very male penis. Or they could call him a boring YouTuber who makes bad content. Either would work as a pretty efficient buzzkill for Ol' Jimbo.
Okay, who wants to go archiving? I have noticed a lost piece of Jim Sterling Media that has been deleted: The Top 10 Ways The Binding Of Issac Can Be Ruined.
I personally find this video (which may have been top 5, but I can't find it either way) was Jim trying out more trendy content. He gave up on these very quickly, and only 2 are left on his channel. But it's quite telling that his first real top-ten list that wasn't a meme (like the top 10 sexiest Mario characters where half the spots were Waluigi) was about how a game he loves could be ruined.
If anyone knows where to find this, feel free to let me know.

Yep, that's the one. But when I looked up "Jim Sterling top 10 issac" it didn't show up. Google didn't turn anything up either. But thanks for confirming it wasn't just some fever dream.
I do wonder why he stopped doing these so quickly, but I believe it to be the combination of the following:
View Count not being high enough (he's as bad as Quinton Reviews in this sense)
Not being able to make money from his negative outlook on the industry/in life
Too much effort
Realizing he didn't actually have many topics to say five separate things on
I also find it hilarious how supposed creatives like Jim fail to understand how crunch exists. Its rarely from evil manglement bringing down an impossible pile of asks on a team. Teams usually have a good understanding of their timelines and when things need to be done by.
All suffered from over ambition and required management to come in and hack off a few things that didn't meet a deadline. ME had Ferros (Mining planet where you rescue Liara) well past concept stage and had a map for an actual hub but had to scale down to a single mission due to crunch. AP threatened to have a hub cut that was going to be either Russia or Taiwan but the producers fought to have it 3 hubs not 2. Fallout NV is a famous one of designing an entire fallout game in only 18 months, resulting only the NCR being fully fleshed out.
You can argue in Bethesda's case that Obsidian were being over ambitious and needed to be brought to heel but I'd personally argue that if you were given the rights to make one game back in the setting you created a decade ago, you'd try and shove in everything you could too.
This also brings up why some games now go through Early Access, in that it gives the Devs a time-frame to add features and not have to be too stressed about having to cut massively down a few weeks from launch. Surviving the Aftermath and Endzone were two games that were released from EA this year and I played both before and after and removing systems that don't work and polishing the ones that do leads to a better product, in my opinion.
Rambling point is that Jim doesn't talk about the technical side of games because he doesn't know it, he just spouts "Crunch bad" with only looking at what it is and not the context of how a team ends up in crunch.
I have YouTube bookmarked to take me right to my subs feed so I haven't even seen the front page in years, but I imagine whether or not he appears there makes little difference; if anything it probably contributes to people unsubbing when they see his ghastly visage in the thumbnails.
I just have the main video channels I watch saved in my browser history, open incognito mode, type youtube up there and just open up two dozen tabs to see if there are any new videos. Susan can't unsub or hide channels from me if I never sign up for the site.
ME: Andromeda is also guilty of over ambition. The devs, instead of doing something akin to planet expeditions (think Warframe) set to randomly generated maps, instead tried for four years to create procedurely generated planets. The difference between the two is that one has a mapped out set of tiles, the other makes things on the fly. Instead of fleshing out a campaign, they spent that time banging their heads on a wall to get it to work and never came close to it. they only had two years left to work on a finished product, and a fuck ton of shit was scaled back, resulting in the broken mess that was the launch.
