What you described is exactly what is going to happen, including a repeat of the Obamacare verdict at the SCOTUS level if they even bother to take it. You know I speak the likely truth.

This is different than Sibelius because it wanders into territory where Robert's has a massive hateboner against perverting tge Constitution, namely using the Commerce Clause to force market participation. Worse yet, this is using the Commerce Clause to force participation in a fundamentally non economic activity, and Roberts will likely build on his own holding in Sibelius explaining why this is horrifically unconstitutional.

If he doesnt then you can officially say he has completely abandoned all of his principles

Its definitely not good but I dont know if I'd say outright doomed. Many blue states are only blue because of a few big liberal cities surrounded by a sea of red rural counties.

If things get bad enough I can see those rural counties turning on the cities. I dont know how bad it would have to eventually get or what form things would all take though.

Also considering that the red counties are mostly armed and the blue cities tend to despise guns in general. And who knows how long the arm guard will take to get into action. It could get messy when thinking about it.

Basically, they have a big water shed they were wanting to use as a bank; when there's plenty of rain and the aquifer is filled, you save up water and hold it for when there's a dry spell. This is how the Edward's Aquifer is treated.

One of the comments on that article has some interesting points about that water likely being contaminated with hexavalent chromium. If that’s true, best leave it underground. Just an interesting aside to the story. The situation is likely nuanced. Also commented a good point about how there’s never going to be any runoff in the Mojave desert to refill it which can lead to sinkholes/collapses and the like. They need that water though, contaminated or not. Desperate times
