The Amy-love-fest reminds me of the other TLC-hero-worship-fests. The Willis Fam....everyone thought the dad and mom were amazing parents and so "Christ-like"; then the penny dropped and we learned that dad had been raping his kids for years. The Roloff's were uber-Christian, little people who were all about advocacy: until they were revealed to be drunk driving, racist, bigots. The Gosseleins: not even going to start with how much fawning and grifting took place with this clusterfuck. The Duggars? Nuff said. My point is that TLC seems is the moth to the proverbial, dumpster fire flame. Frankly, the authorities should just hire TLC to find all of the criminals in North America because their track record is bangin'. So, the same people kissing Amy's ass and buying into the underdog story will be the same people who end up pearl clutching on Reddit in six months. And, we shall all be there for that glorious day.

TLC really hit peak horror show with the Duggars and the Willises. Josh Duggar was fapping to Daisy's Destruction. That alone should carry an automatic death sentence.

What got me this episode was Tammy's insistence that it was her time to get out in the world and have fun. She's 640 lbs as of that episode. She refuses to walk more than a few steps and will bitch the whole way when she does. You'd think someone that big would try to lose the weight so they could do fun things. Tammy just thinks that her and her new feeder will live happily ever after. She's like a dumb teen in love with a bad guy who only wants to use her. So she doesn't do the things she's supposed to that are good for her future because then that's less time with trash boyfriend. The whole family knows this. But Tammy's so consumed by the fact that senpai noticed her that she doesn't care. She is 100% hopeless.

I'm glad they added the nurse. Because she's the only interesting part of Tammy's scenes. Otherwise it's just scowls and tard rages we've all seen five million times already. Tammy expects her to push 640 lbs plopped down in a heavy bariatric wheelchair. Then Tammy says that it's part of her job to push her everywhere. It's like she wanted a slave not a nurse. Eating too much sugar during pregnancy can apparently influence the baby’s tastes and cravings.

There is definitely zero hope for Gage to be a normal weight. Amy says he’s a bottomless pit and that he eats so much as if he’s preparing all of the food for himself and she’s not just feeding him until he stops crying. The only action Amy and Michael are going to take about Gage’s eating habits is to repeat “that’s not gonna happen that’s not gonna happen” over and over again until it inevitably happens.

I really don’t hold any contempt for Amy. It just depresses me to think about an ignorant fatfuck couple raising a baby and already overfeeding him. There’s no question that she cares about Gage’s health, but she doesn’t have the braincells to put together that his nutrition is in the hands of whoever’s feeding him. Not to mention he may be predisposed to obesity, making it harder to keep his weight in check even for parents of average intelligence.

The South and Appalachia have been the butt of the joke regarding incest for years. It stems from previous isolation, tightly knit clans, poverty, and what was previously acceptable. Cousins could marry and their offspring would then marry another distant cousin. The isolation of horny teens doesn't help, either. Abuse was also easier to hide when you're 70 miles away from a post office. It was originally an aristocratic issue, but devolved into the poor doing it. Education, transport, and bigger communities made incest irrelevant.

The immigration of Europeans and improvements in infrastructure after 1860's reconstruction helped curb this practice. It's not really an issue anymore. Pakistan and India are the ones with the most serious problems stemming from repeating cousin marriages, even today.

I doubt Amy and Tammy are inbred. Mama Slaton played in the kitty litter with Amy and drank alcohol with Tammy.

Not even close. She's got at least another 150lb of fat to lose before she's ready for loose skin removal, plus any reputable surgeon will want to see her maintain her weightloss for at least 12 months once she reaches her weight goal. I just don't understand how fatties that lose some weight all of a sudden think their problems will be solved by abdominoplasty, breast lifts, and other skin surgeries. Plus, she really should ensure she doesn't want more children before going under the knife for those procedures. Amy is still morbidly obese, she just appears much smaller because they sit her next to the 700lb beast that is her sister.
