Time Stamps

00:00 - Jim starts by asking if the gaming industry even deserves an award show this year.
1:25 - Jim attacks the latest Quantic Dream game by showing a disgusting video of a dog about to defecate on grass. Really gross…
1:40 - First award, ”Token AAA Game that the audience will actually care about”, goes to Resident Evil Village. Praises the game, calling it high quality and polished. Calls Lady Dimitrescu a symbol of unity in a divided nation

4:40- Second award goes to Deltarune: Chapter 2. Jim first says that awards are meaningless, so who gives a fuck, but the dev is a indie darling. Says the game is quite good with good characters and story.

6:32 - Third award, "Bad Game That I Enjoyed For Some Fucking Reason”, goes to Aliens: Fireteam elite. Jim says that it’s a bad game and only is giving the award because he wants to mock award shows. Jim says he had more fun playing than most games he was forced to play this year.

8:46 - Fourth award, “Awarding This Makes Me Feel Smug”, goes to Road 96, calls a good game that won’t get awards anywhere else.
Screenshot 2021-12-20 at 13.36.47.png
10:50 - Final Award, “Nah This One Is Seriously Legit”, goes to Death's door. Saying this is a legit good game and praises the game as it invoques old school games.
Screenshot 2021-12-20 at 13.41.42.png

13:00 - Jim finishes the award show by saying he didn’t felt like doing his usual award show because nothing blew his mind and says next week he’ll do the worst games of the year.

And one final surprise:
Jim Finally bows down to KiwiFarms! We did it!

Sorry, I'll jump in again quickly, but this is what I mean. Fine, video games weren't great his year, but it's that she can stand there, on the set of Barbie's Dream Death Star, an admitted victim of an abusive childhood, who is pansexual (chooses to move to Mississippi), fucks Pogs on camera, collects a horde of plastic tat, posts pictures with cum on their face, makes porn parody reviews, been in lawsuits with crazy people, has a wife and child we never hear about, does wrestling with a slipped disc, is in a leather sack, on a year of hormones, growing increasingly manic and wearing a fucking dog collar...and be surprised there might be people 'psychoanalysing' her.

Jim Sterling would proudly own this shit.

Commander Stephanie is stuck in traffic.

Really hope the end year video is at least still fun.

Posting Crowbcats video is the least useful source of information on the subject as he was one of the many YT influencers that jumped on the CP hate train to harvest clicks.
And before you start calling me a shill or a CDPR ass licker, I'm just avoiding drama and mob mentality on this subject. The game has it's problems but it is in no way Satan's left testicle as the media would make you it is.

Want to have a calm/neutral discussion on the subject? go here:
I agree crowbcats videos suck balls for being nit picky and just generally cherry picking but CDPR straight up lied about what type of game cyberpunk was until release. It got overblown out of proportion for people complaining about bugs when the actual issue was tons of features they said were going to be in the game weren’t.

CDPR was touting the game as an FPS shadow run returns game, what we got was cyberpunk fallout 4. It’s not bad but not anything special besides being very graphically impressive. This is where games media completely dropped the ball and instead of focusing on the fact the game was a complete shell of what was promised focused on the bugs

Isn't the entire point of crowbcats videos that they highlight the worst case scenarios he can find?

It depends on what type of video you’re watching. In his comparison videos he will show an earlier game in a series having a detail a newer game in the series will not, but then won’t show a new detail the new game has, which kind of gives the “old bideo game good new one bad” effect. Maybe it’s not his videos that suck but sort of the tone and message people get from them making issues seem more prevalent or important than they really are.

A really popular one is the fire effects from far cry 2 and the general detail of destruction the game had. Sure the old game had really cool fire tech that could nearly set an entire town on fire, but in practice it’s obnoxious when you’re looking for diamonds and need to wait 4-5 minutes for the fire to stop.

Every time I see Jim in that black bin-liner he calls a jacket all I can think of is those terrifying inflatable gimpsuits. (I may have made this joke before.)

As for the JQ, I only realised when I rewatched last year's awards that he only does 5 good games --he claims it's because the 'top' games should be more prestigious, but we all know it's because he's such a miserable twat he couldn't find 10 games to be positive about if he tried-- but I'm still surprised he managed, though the list feels very padded (he shat all over Aliens: FE in his Jimpressions video).

I'm still sticking to my guns that next week's 10 worst is gonna be about Acitivision's various sins, but maybe he really is too cowardly for such a rug pull.

CDPR never lied about WHAT the game was supposed to be (Though there where clear miscommunication I'll give you that). From day one it was a first person open world (not sandbox) game. Also, by comparing the game to Fallout 4 I have the feeling you never actually played it as while it is in no way perfect it is leagues beyond the shallowness of Fallout 4. All the confusion came from the gaming media using twice mistranslated sources and theory pedlars. And then we have the average gaming nerd who seas that you can drive cars and comes to the conclusion "GTA in a neon light city!" on the spot.

One guy actually took the time to brake down all the "lie's" and did a deep dive when CDPR supposedly made those promises. You can read it here:

And just to clarify, I'm not saying the game doesn't have it's problems or that the launch wasn't a car crash in slow motion. I'm just saying that the hate train for it was so intensely manufactured that making up BS about the game has been accepted because the internet hive mind accepted the meme that "Game is Shit! CDPR lied! REEEEEEE!!!". Heck, gaming "journalists" where trying to cancel CDPR months before the game launch, even going as far as calling Mike Poundsmith, the creator of the original TTRPG system a white supremacist (the guy is black if you don't know).

Do you think Jim would reverse the decline of his channel if he switched exclusively to making videos about wrestling? It would at least be something different from his usual fare that's staler than a month-old piece of bread.

Nope. Because he'd be competing directly with established brands like Meltzer and Keller. Not to mention a host of newer wrestling based channels who actually want to talk news and not bang on about how liberating the Goldust character was.

I have over 100 hours in the game lol.
That link is pure cope and the op going “no! No! The game does have stuff!!!” Most of the npcs walking around the city have one line of dialogue, pop in and out, and are replaced with one more stock npc who grunts “leave me alone.” Even fallout 4 npcs usually have more to say. Even fallout 4’s 4 basic ending choices have more of an effect on the game than life paths did. Even fallout 4 has npcs with schedules, something promised but not seen in Cyberpunk.
The marketing for the game completely changed as the game went further into development. It was first marketed as an immersive rpg but as more features were stripped out to meet the deadline they realized they couldn’t sell it as that.
I’ll give you the benefit of the doubt and say you probably didn’t follow the marketing and previews of the game but if you did yeah you don’t know what you’re talking about. Here is an actual link with sources and interviews.
And yes while it is true some interviews were mistranslated, quite a few were given in English.
Now don’t get me wrong, I DO love cyberpunk. I think it got way more shit than it deserved, but CDPR lied through in through.
