Japan really dislikes attention whores, social disruption, activism, laziness in particular, and surely won't allow their work culture to be disrupted by catering to troonish delusions. Their hierarchies are ridiculously strict, and arrogant/selfish people acting out of their depth is considered disrespectful and a detriment to the entire team. Any pressure they have had about that stuff comes from the west (and some amount of offering their anuses for the Tokyo Olympics), but for the average Japanese person, they are unsightly abominations.
AGPs still exist in Japan but they seem a lot more self-aware. I don't know much about that though, but at least I don't see the same symptoms of Clown World at play.

Most of their reactions come from seeing westerners do insane things on Twitter. Most of them won't care about what the rest of the world does, so their exposure is still limited and filtered. It's unlikely they'll let this social virus spread though.

nearly all of them are bisexual, bicurious, or sexually "adventurous". the main kind of straight men interested in dating FTMs are a few lone perverts who will try anything once. the average straight man won't go more masculine than casual tomboy in their women. (some normally straightish men are GAMP which is a paraphilia because they're attracted to femininity whether the thing has a dick or a cunt and don't usually engage in "gay" behavior, but GAMPs aren't interested in FTMs because it's basically the opposite of what they're interested in). there are actually some typically gayish men attracted to trans men which is a bit of a mystery, and i'm willing to allow this is a mirror version of GAMP that hasn't really been studied yet because of the sheer lack of trans men in history, or that it passes and acts well enough for a not-picky, low self esteem closet case that some people are like fuck it. but this is technically bicuriosity in my eyes. i think that some people have "flexibility" in their sexuality, especially if they're bicurious or a paraphile (e.g. pseudobisexuality).

edit: the other type of FTM-"attracted" man is an opportunist pedo or rapist who knows FTMs have issues, have probably been sexually assaulted or groomed, and don't trust their families, and go after a young chick who looks female, but won't complain about abuse because it would make her feel less like a boy. i'm sure a quarter at least of the LTRs between men and FTMs are abusive in some manner. just a guess. (i've never thought about it before, but it's possible gayish pedos like FTMs, because of their ridiculously youthful appearance in young adulthood, and preference nonspecificity when it comes to non-age characteristics).

edit 2: when it comes to marriage, gay men marrying FTMs is exceedingly rare (receipts?), and in straight/bi LTRs it's most likely that the troonout happened mid-marriage, and the husband doesn't know what to do yet. as for why i'm calling some men still gay even after trying an FTM, it's because social pressure can make you repress your sexuality to do something you think you're "supposed to do" if you're young or insecure. but this ALMOST NEVER results in an actual LTR because once is enough for a man to know he's not into it. oh yeah, and for more FTM-attracted men, even though it's fictional, just look up "cuntboy" on a cartoon porn site.

edit 3: don't forget, MTF/NB men troons are men too and they date FTMs/NB women for similar reasons but also because MTFs are priests in the gender cult, and every FTM feels pressured to date one once in her life.

this trans shit really makes sexuality a lot more interesting to learn about. i don't think we have all the answers.

tl;dr: as for men, only grandfathered-in partners, bi(curious), TIMs, and abusive pervs date FTM troons.

I think dating a 'gay' FtM is a lot like dating an extraordinarily fat woman. The same sort of motives and men are going to be involved in both cases.

I remember Isaac (dude in this video). We chatted on Discord a few times. He unfriended me after I tried to convince him not to transition a few years ago. At the time he was seeing a gender therapist and had obtained a prescription for testosterone blockers but was ambivalent about starting them. I remember bringing up AGP. He said it didn't apply to him. He admitted to having been aroused by his femme self in the mirror but gave some ridiculous excuse like who doesn't get turned on when they think they look good. I still believe AGP is the primary motivating factor even in these "autistic boys who feel both disconnected from their bodies and un-masculine, who then pick up transitioning as an autistic special interest and as a way to find an online community." that you describe. Otherwise, they'd just gravitate towards another identity/online community. Hetero males aren't going to start crossdressing or feminizing their body with HRT unless they've got some underlying sexual motivation.

I think the right way to think about is that some kind of autogynephilic interest is generally a necessary condition, but not a sufficient one. I think you are right in that most apparently non-AGP cases in teenage boys do have some autogynephilic component; they have some kind of prurient interest in something AGP adjacent. I think this holds particularly well for older cases, as well as for boys who are less autistic. It's easy to overlook though, if the kid emphasizes other (quite genuine) reasonings and as with your pal, and many others -- they just deny or minimize it. I think they often believe their own confabulations too, they don't recognize jacking off to trap porn or wondering what it would be like to be a trap to be autogynephilic per se.

That said there are other ways that they can latch onto the idea of trooning out as well. Firstly, there's a remarked upon phenomenon of autistic boys who have serious difficulties in making friends or who are going through periods of loneliness latching onto the idea of being a girl as a way to make friends. It tends to affect boys roughly around the age of 9-12 and is often triggered by being periodically 'included' by girls, perhaps out of sympathy and oftentimes the girls aren't of the same age. This can cause them to develop the belief that they would be more socially successful if they were a girl, or that their male sex is the problem especially if they find out that their new 'friends' don't really regard them as belonging or if they are subsequently rejected.

Alternatively, an autistic kid can just get basically groomed whether that's by peers, weirdos on the internet or even by school staff. If you have a sufficiently lonely kid, a crumb of encouragement is enough to get the ball rolling.

Most of Asia's like this, sometimes people have the impression that it's rampant or accepted over here because of the Thai ladyboys while in reality they sort of know their place and would segregate themselves in places like bars for example. Most of the ladyboys pass and would be what an average Asian perceives to be a tranny, I doubt most people are exposed to the kinds of horrors found in the West for the moment.
