Let's pretend for one moment that he does die before the election, just for the funsies. What happens then? Will the nomination revert to option number 2, aka Bernie Sanders? Or will his running mate automatically replace him just the way Vice-President is supposted to step in after the Big Man in the White House chokes on a piece of matzo? Does he even have a running mate yet?

Barrett has whined piteously stuff to the effect that she doesn't want the SCOTUS seen as a political institution. That to me is a sign that she is willing to bitch out under media pressure from people who hate her guts.

I would not be surprised to see Barnes vindicated regarding Lagoa in the coming case.

Yeah, that's not a great sign, I'll agree. She's not as much of a weather sock as Roberts, but you can definitely hear the sound of fluttering fabric coming from her direction if you listen carefully. Still, she crossed the admin on CDC, so she's not 100% useless, and she has a historically strong argument to hide behind on the vaccine mandate issue -- she can always opine dramatically about her concern over mUh oMiCroN while saying "but this has to be done by the states". She'll probably be useless on state mandate challenges in the future, as will Roberts most likely, so RIP anyone who lives in NY.

My main regret in that post I just made was temporarily forgetting that journalists aren't people. Curse my sense of goodwill to men.

Anyway, no matter what, anyone who lives in a blue state like NY (I believe Feline Supremacist is one?) is absolutely doomed.

What's stunning is I know for a fact that NY workforces are going to be nuked by this, especially in the healthcare field. I am pretty sure it is going to be Armageddon.

That actually makes me sad.

She seemed fun in the interviews and stuff from the 80's.

Oh well. I've only met one star and that was at an airport bar. Just bullshitted with them about normal bullshit stuff for like 3 hours. I didn't even recognize them until they paid for the drinks and left.
Well, when you socialize with them or bump into them, you're their fan and therefore their paycheck. They're always much nicer to fans than to the band. I'm nothing but an employee so I get abused like one. When I've told people stories about Bette, they're like, "I met her once! She was so nice!" Well, yeah, she's not gonna be nasty to a fan, But I'm not a fan, I work for her. Big difference. I've seen Cyndi be super nice to people who meet her and then 20 minutes later she's insulting the shit out of one of her musicians.

Quick Cyndi story just to give you an idea what a psychopath she is. She was holding auditions for her touring band. I was already selected along with another for the band. She was still auditioning guitarists and we were present for that. One guitarist auditioned that she loved and she told the guitarist right at the audition, "You're in the band. I don't even care about who's left to audition". But rather than just call the audition and tell everyone left outside the room to just go home, she insisted on continuing the audition solely for the opportunity to degrade each musician auditioning.

One would come in, play and she'd be like, "Seriously? You came to an audition playing like that?!" or "Really? You thought you were good enough to play in my band?" None of these guys were bad in the slightest - anyone auditioning for this stuff is top shelf. But since she had found who she wanted and didn't need to be nice anymore, she saw an opportunity to use the rest of the audition to have these people think they still had a shot, and then as she called them in one by one she could get her jollies taking a giant shit on their self esteem. It's one of the more psychotic things I've ever seen a person do.

Here, to balance it out, two super nice ones are both Liza Minnelli and Patty Smythe from the band Scandal (Goodbye to you, I am the warrior, etc.)

I had a good friend tour with Liza and he told me she actually gets prostitutes for the band members in each city and treats the musicians super nice. I toured with Scandal a while ago. Patty is very sweet and she has a huge house in the hamptons in Long Island. She'd have the band out there in the summer to spend the weekend and she'd barbeque and feed us. She's married to John McEnroe and he'd be there hanging all weekend. They had a tennis court and he'd playfully challenge the band members to tennis games and we'd all get to play him. I'd be thinking how surreal this is, that I'm just having a fun game of tennis with McEnroe and having burgers with the chick who sings "I am the warrior".

By the way - there's a good example. I'm sure there's a ton of tennis pros who have horror stories about McEnroe and yet I had a great time with him. Then again, I'm not a peer or challenging him to a serious game. I'm in his wife's band and I'm there for burgers. But if you're gonna play him seriously, he's a fucking nightmare. It's kind of how pop stars treat their fans vs how they treat their band members.

But honestly, the really nice ones I can count on one hand. The nasty and abusive ones I can list for hours.

State mandates have much stronger constitutional grounds than federal mandates, that's just a fact. The New York detention bs is way over that line, but most states haven't even thought of that yet

It looks like Biden's mandate is heading to the Supreme Court one week before the current stay is due to be lifted. This could be a humiliating loss for him. Let's hope Roberts doesn't cuck.

I have a better chance of fucking Anna Kendrick than we have of the Supreme Court not fucking us over.

Higher gas prices for Xmas, spin that Sleepy Joe!
Shit pops off at these facilities occasionally. They’re not making ice cream and cotton candy in those Units, I can assure you. Unless it wiped out a whole section of that Plant, if it was confined to one Unit as it usually is, they probably won’t fall behind any, the other Plants in the area will help them make up for any lost production. All the Plants have agreements in place with each other to make up for any lost production one might suffer due to any kind of incident.

Baytown is 40 miles from Downtown Houston, I doubt anyones walls were rattled in River Oaks. Now the folks who live next door to the Baytown Plant might have been woken up, sure, but nothing more, and that’s just part and parcel of living next door to the largest petrochemical facility in the entire US.

Edit: Just like I thought. It was confined to a single unit, AND that’s a unit that was down for maintenance, so no loss of production. It’s crazy that this is an international news story because it’s basically a total nothingburger that wouldn’t have been reported on beyond the local paper for a day or two back in the day. 4 injured, (and contractors at that), none dead, no production lost, just another day in the Plant

the Mafia didn't always exist, it was formed. And it retained power by showing it could do things the justice system wasn't willing or couldn't do. It reminds me of a story from awhile back of a crip killing someone for publicly urinating on his block, its not even a crime just a bad thing to do morally and a black man was perfectly fine killing someone over bad manners.

white people will mope and cope their way to their own annihilation. you'll let the cops and schools and courts fuck you 9 ways from sunday on mandates, when gotti could have run around an elementary school naked raping every girl and slicing the neck of every boy and the teachers would have cheered him on if asked, and he wouldn't have a single charge or ticket put on him.

Hell the majority of the reason this country ended up not being part of england was because it tripled down once england started trying to enforce draconian laws, and part of that disrespect was by not convicting people if they did end up in court for whatever bullshit crimes were had against them

The Chinese plants better do a better job next time then.

Given how I'm expecting this case will go 5-4 one way or the other, your odds may be better than you think. Maybe you should give her a call...
you are putting all your eggs in 3 justices who were all close friends of Jeb Bush, and from prior judgements are clearly cut from the same RINO cloth, even being called serial rapists, nazis, and child molesters by people that want them to suffer won't stop them from making the wrong decision

If I can just survive 2-3 more years in my current situation, I might not only be able to leave the state, but buy a nice house in a quiet part of a red state "straight cash homie" style.

If I had to, I could flee to an apartment in another state for a bit, but that would cost a bit more money.

Trump was fully impeached, just as Clinton was. Well, he was impeached MORE than Clinton, but still, they have both been impeached. Congress has sole powers of impeachment.

The Senate can hold an impeachment trial, which can result in removal from office and/or exclusion of the charged from holding office in the future. This has never occurred.

But yeah, semantics, I know what you meant; however, I don't agree that this would have actually gotten the Senate to convict him, as there wasn't any treason, high crimes, misdemeanors, etc., affiliated with the withdrawal. I certainly haven't read extensively on this, and if you do know of any shenanigans associated with the Biden withdrawal I'd appreciate it if you'd share them with me. I'll suck your dick, but WATCH THE INCISORS. Don't say you weren't warned.

Trump would have botched it just as badly, because you know it's not as if he's actually doing logistics or anything himself, and neither is Biden, but the buck stops there and they take the blame.

You could say the DELAYS from Biden on withdrawal made it more difficult due to the Taliban's advances, but on the flip side of the coin, that gave them even more time to prepare and do things right.

Regardless, we (USA) don't seem to be able to pull these withdrawals off without major fuck-ups. It would be nice if someone with military service could shed some light on this as to why.

Your sentence should read as follows:

It's "would have", not "would of".

You forgot the quotation marks AND the period! What the fuck is wrong with you?
Since you are still harping on this, I will explain to you why many people consider Trump's second impeachment to be invalid. It was done in defiance of the Constitution on at least two important points. Trump was no longer an elected official at the time that he was impeached. The chief justice of the US Supreme Court did not preside in the US Senate. There, all tied up in a neat bow so that even a simpleton like yourself can understand it. Any more questions?

Joe Biden has officially confirmed to ABC News that he’s still running for President of the Senate running for re-election come 2024, and jokingly said it will be even more exciting if Donald Trump is running at the same time.
Yeah because Trump will look heatlher than before and you will probably look like a corpse. It will definitely be exciting.

Edit: also you gave Trump more material to slam you with

Go for it, I actually have some pics of shelves from last year (don't ask lol) with prices, I've been tempted to print them out and tape them to the shelves so people can see just how much prices have gone up but I like the people who run the stores around me and don't want to fuck with them.
For months I've been keeping grocery receipts and intend to go through and catalog them just to help reality hit myself and friends a little harder. Shit's fucked.
Whether I go into a gas station, small grocery store, or a "super store", there are items completely out of stock somewhere and prices are up or quantity/weight down.

I hope the administration keeps lying about this as it's impossible to hide the truth on this one.
