Womanhood isn't 'arbitrary and bullshit'. We don't get asked about being child brides, FGM or being attacked based on our sex. It's been this way for thousands of years. These idiots don't realize that this just further proves that they were indeed socialized as male. Being socialized means you are rewarded or punished for acting according to socialized gender norms. A girl isn't going to be made fun or beat up for acting like a girl - because that's expected of them.
A boy being made fun of for acting feminine is MALE SOCIALIZATION. You were being punished for going outside of male gender norms. They weren't treating you like a girl, and you weren't experiencing misogyny. If you were, they wouldn't have made fun of you or beat you up in the first place.
I feel bad for feminine guys that were treated poorly because they weren't conforming to their gender. But being bullied or feeling like you don't belong doesn't mean you experienced what it was like to grow up as a girl. It also doesn't mean you didn't benefit from being a boy.
People treating you like a man even if you didn't want to be treated as one is still a benefit in society whether you asked for it or not, and it directly impacts how you view and interact with the world around you. It doesn't matter how feminine you acted or looked, you were still seen as male and thus treated to male socialization, which in turn means you will never, EVER understand what it's like to be socialized as a girl or know what it's like to grow up as one. edit: the other type of FTM-"attracted" man is an opportunist pedo or rapist who knows FTMs have issues, have probably been sexually assaulted or groomed, and don't trust their families, and go after a young chick who looks female, but won't complain about abuse because it would make her feel less like a boy. i'm sure a quarter at least of the LTRs between men and FTMs are abusive in some manner. just a guess.
