Yup, they're slots for CD or DVD drives. Note the Windows Vista sticker on the bottom left corner of the computer. For a while in the 2000s it was fashionable to put decorative flaps in front of the actual CD drive doors because it was cheaper than paying the CD-ROM drive maker to do a custom bezel to match your case.

I'm aware this is hardly the most disgusting thing in the picture but that tomato juice appears to be leaking off the table (or is about to) onto her and she doesn't seem bothered at all. It's grossing me the hell out to think how much food/drink they must let dribble onto their clothes all the time. Why did I read this thread right after lunch.

Ground beef plus pre-packaged taco seasoning (I'm assuming) isn't really any better than Taco Bell. It may be lower in calories, but it's still packed with sodium. Plus, God knows how much cheese and sour cream they coat them in.

Maybe they used the low salt taco seasoning? I use it when I make tacos and it tastes SO much better than the regular stuff.

...I'll go ahead and rate myself optimistic, then.

When you eat the kind of garbage that they do to get themselves so fat (excess amounts of salt, processed sugar, trans and saturated fats), your taste buds start to deteriorate. Anything else tastes bland or disgusting, so it becomes harder to tolerate anything healthy.

I don't think they can stand up for the amount of time cooking a meal takes.

I've only read half of this thread so maybe this has been answered already but who enables these two? I can't imagine them being able to drag sufficient amounts of food back to the trailer without help.

They are on disability welfare but they would have to call a cab to go down to the supermarket (even though the next Walmart is less than a mile away.
