What does "getting it" mean? Having the virus in your body or being symptomatic? If the vaccine just impacts symptoms how does that affect transmission?

Basically asymptomatic people are less likely to shed the virus. However, it affects droplet-spread viruses (which typically NEED a sneeze, cough or spit) more than aerosolized viruses (where simply breathing can release microscopic viri).

If it reduced transmission by 75% I'd be hearing that number everywhere. The fact that pro vaccine source seem to have little data on it is a massive red flag that to me that either the impact on transmission is negligible or they just don't know the impact.

According to Pfizer, Moderna & J&J it starts at like 90% two weeks after transmission but drops to like 40-60% after 3-6 months.
Apparently J&J drops below 30% even sooner. This is also not taking into account evolutionary pressure, where successive generations of viri get better and better at spreading in spite of the hosts defenses.

Of course, "transmission" isn't a binary concept. Factors such as the amount of people present to available UV/sunlight, temp & humidity, to even what part of the body the viral load is (i.e. higher viral load in the nose or mouth spreads better than higher load in the lower lung).

They also help prevent transmission in general. It's really not a hard concept, I know you can get this. And yes, they're not 100% effective and I know autists like you have trouble comprehending things that aren't all or nothing, but even a 75% effectiveness helps.

Huh? The ineffectiveness of the vaccines in preventing transmission is well known now....the virus had already evolved to evade them by the time they were deployed.

These vaccines no longer have any meaningful effectiveness against preventing infection, which is why they now only mention preventing hospitalizations and deaths. IMO this is exactly how they should have been sold rather than the "95% effective against infection" horseshit, which was an obvious lie that anyone with a cursory understanding of infections diseases can easily debunk.

Thankfully we won't need them for much longer, though.
