Do note the small catch though -- the wording indicates that this only applies to areas where there is an injunction or other prohibition on enforcement, so this is basically just the OMB announcing that they will comply with all injunctions. Still, it's a positive sign, as it signals they're going to cooperate with the courts, rather than emulate Andrew Jackson. Right now, all 50 states are protected against enforcement by at least one injunction, so this mandate is effectively comatose for the immediate future.

I wouldn't necessarily call it a whitepill just yet, but it does show that the quarantine period in of itself is flexible and its length is subject to external pressure. The new rules themselves seem arbitrary and don't make any sense. If the vaccinated can carry the same viral load as the unvaccinated, then why are people with the booster advised to just wear a mask for ten days? It doesn't make any sense, but the CDC knows that it can't allow/endorse a repeat of March 2020 without serous repercussions from basically everyone that matters as far as the economy is concerned. It reeks of trying the soften the blow against being called out on their own double standards and inaccurate modelling.

• The vaccination rate being lower than promoted.

I think democracy was always just an ideal that people and even politicians sincerely believed in since they considered it better than alternative. There were presidents elected through voting shenanigans even more crooked than JoePedo's election, after all. But now I don't think our ruling class holds any loyalty to democracy given their open admiration of China. "Democracy" is just a word they use out of obligation, since it would startle the plebs if they openly wanted to abolish it. They hold no more obligation to democracy than an oligarchic dictatorship full of billionaires oppressing poor-ass slave workers like China does to Marxism.

The 'ruling class' likes Democracy because the succession between despots often tended to be periods of intense stress; often devolving into civil war between two factions. The peaceful transfer of power, even to someone disliked is better for retaining wealth over generations. The reason there is a freak out over Jan 6th is because this is the first time the population has actively called out a bullshit election and rioted over it, there has been bullshit elections before: 1824 was stolen from Andrew Jackson, 1876 was highly disputed to the point that its the reason Reconstruction ended and is regarded by historians as being stolen because it was so obvious. Then in the modern era we can look to the 1960 Election with Kennedy being the origin of the dead people voting meme. But 2020 is the first time a mob formed and crashed D.C. for part of a day.

The cabal want to mate the peaceful transfer of power that Democracy provides but rule as an oligarchic elite without interference from the outside. They don't know how to do this and Jan 6th was a warning sign to them that this has to be done more delicately in the future otherwise the rifles will come out and cause the destruction of the entire system.

They are. They listen and obey. What I'm worried about is, if doctors are treating patients based on what the government says, and they're just going to do exactly as they're told, why do we need doctors? Just follow the government's instructions on how to treat patients. Don't think for yourself. No education required.

So, why not replace them with a cheaper option? Nurse Practitioners don't get paid anywhere near what an actual doctor does, and hospitals are always looking to cut costs. NPs like to act as though they're equal to or above someone who studied medicine for 10+ years, but the difference in pay says otherwise.

And God help you if your only option at the ER is an NP. It's already happening. There's even a thread on it, and it's horrifying.

Why hire a person at all? Just have a stack of tablets locked to WebMD and vending machines for the appropriate pharmaceuticals.
