I really wish the hesitancy around getting the vaccine wasn’t tied to the general anti-vaxxer movement because it takes genuine concerns and makes them more of a mockery. People have a right to be concerned if it is something they may not have much of a choice in.

Turns out that mocking anyone who disagrees with the popular narrative is an effective method towards defanging their concerns in the eyes of the general populace.

While I understand why you would feel that people should have a right to be concerned, those who wish individuals to take the vaccine would very much prefer they did not.

Already got my two jabs, but now that politicians are floating the idea that we might need booster shots twice a year I'm getting increasingly tempted to tell them to shove it up their ass.
I'm not scared of the vaccine and I do think it works, but as soon as someone tells me that I HAVE to do something they can go fuck themselves, even if I wouldn't be disinclined if given a choice instead.

You'll still get tested positive if you take the booster shot. I know people who've gotten booster shots and they tested positive as soon as two weeks after getting said booster shot with flu-like symptoms.

That said I may take it b/c I already took my two shots, I heard Moderna is better than pfzier so maybe it'll complete the vaccine, plus I got a co-morbidity. Plus family is pressuring me into getting it, saying that insurance won't cover booster and I may end up in hospital with omnicron variant floating around. Not going to lie, I'm alittle afraid of going to the hospital what with horror stories I've heard from people actually being infected with Coronavirus. Carrying an oxygen tank around with a tube into your mouth doesn't sound appealing.

I'm just worried I'll end up being a Covidian : because of buyer's remorse I might end up hating people who are anti-vax & people who refuse to take booster shot. And like I said in the Wuhan thread...the fact that people around me are going crazy over the Omnicron variant...part of me would rather get the Coronavirus then deal with them.
