Jesus you guys weren’t kidding about yesterdays pre stream, this dude talking about how he doesn’t understand how people on YouTube got popular sounds like the most boomer shit ever, legit just an old man yelling at clouds…

His entire take on this Lindsay Ellis shit is also quite something. First off she didn’t really get cancelled, or at the very least she can still pull over a million views on a video. If she went away for being cancelled than dsp is definitely cancelled given his numbers.

The way dsp talks about how he’s going to keep pushing forward and never give up is so tone deaf, of course you can keep pushing forward no matter what, all you do is show up and sit on your couch and play video games.

I’m sure the people on this site aren’t a fan of this Lindsay Ellis chick based on like the two videos I’ve watched of her, and I’m not gonna comment on whatever drama happened to her cause I frankly don’t know or care, but even watching one video you can tell she at least puts effort into her videos. She clearly takes a few weeks/months to make a video, goes into depth about whatever stupid topic she wants to make a video on, she actually sits down and makes a script before turning on the camera.

My point is when you actually put in some form of work or effort into something you’re passionate about it’s also possible for your mental health to affect that effort negatively.

It all really highlights how little effort DSP actually puts into shit. If dsp is having a bad mental health day he just takes a day off and gets drunk, or comes on stream to whine about his problems or lash out at his shitty fans, or begs for money so he can hit the next gacha game high. Dsp doesn’t have shit like writers block or burnout from trolling because he doesn’t put any god damn effort into his job, he shows up and does the bare minimum, and goes through the motions.

I see alot of mid or lower level content creators really happy when a video the made gets good numbers, not because it makes them more money, but because they felt like they had something to say on the topic, or see their fans notice a real dumb joke or edit they were proud to come up. It’s not that crazy to think people being negative online or the YouTube systems screwing you over could make someone wanna step away from it, nobody wants to put actual time and effort into shit only to be responded with negatively.

Compare that to Phil who just sits on his couch for a few hours a day, interacts with his Nazi regulated chat, then dumps the footage onto YouTube with the most minimum effort and it’s no wonder he doesn’t suffer fatigue or burnout from still being a nobody or being mocked

Its just insane to hear Phil try to critique anyone's youtube career, after he's completely botched his own in every way possible. Yeah Phil, you know all about growing and maintaining a youtube presence, your current videos get less than 1% of the views you got 10 years ago but sure keep pointing out what everyone else is doing wrong.

And just the pure hypocrisy everytime he talks shit about other youtubers/streamers- from a guy who hates people talking about himself so much he's coined his own term "detractor" to refer to anyone who says anything remotely negative about him. Well phil, by your own logic, wouldn't you be a ninja detractor or a pewdiepie detractor or a detractor for everyone else you criticize and talk shit about? Oh yeah its different when phil does it because reasons.

I don’t think he’d worn the Pikachu hat before. He’s worn both of the others and been memed and mocked for it so he won’t wear those.

This was literally just so he would hit a goal he hasn’t otherwise hit in weeks outside of his Christmas marathon. Whether you think that’s out of greed or ego I’ll leave to someone else, but the impetus was to hit the hat goal by any means necessary.

Thats what I dont get about Phil's fans, unless dsp's videos are literally the first ones they clicked on and never checked out any other channels, they have to recognize the difference between phil and any other youtuber. The begging, the tips goals, the prestreams, the taxes, the money for groceries, etc, all shit that doesn't happen anywhere else.

Which leads to the only explanation- his fans know he's a scumbag but still like him anyway. So phil doesn't really need to do all the lying and trying to scrub his own history all the time, the fans know who he is and dont care.

It's BECAUSE he fucked up that Phil does this shit. He's not oblivious to his mistakes, if he was, his never being wrong wouldn't be such a meme. His problem is that he doesn't want to stop being himself, and his self sucks. So it's forever a necessity for him to do something bad, and either breathe a sigh of relief and keep on trucking because nobody caught it, or get pissy and blame-shift when he does get caught immediately. Or he gets caught later and still blame-shifts. FFS, he included The Incident in his debunking stream because he HAD to do something to make it not that bad or even okay that he did it. He cannot handle a single bit of red being on his ledger, not in spite of, but BECAUSE he knows he deserves ALL of it.

He's a bad child, and they almost never react with grace or dignity when they get ratted out for their shitty behavior. Literally every time someone nails him perfectly, Phil calls them names. He'll even be outright denying what they say, but his lashing out betrays him, because it's his childish emotions over being busted, every fucking time.

And this is what makes him such a fucking imbecile. Not his bad acting, not his denials of reality, not even his waste of so much money he needed to retire on. Those were all bad decisions, but they pale in comparison to his choice to spend his entire life being a bad little boy who broadcasts so much of himself on the internet where everything will get documented and used against him FOREVER. Plenty of other assholes have gotten away with their shit for years or even decades. Why? They didn't decide to be an e-celeb. Or were just better at hiding it, from not being as dumb.

Phil's rant yesterday was the ultimate culmination of so many years of getting busted for being an asshole. He doesn't value getting along in the world, he values getting away with whatever he wants, and after all these years, he's finally seeing that his dream of doing so was never going to come true. He's not about to stop being a pigroach, but he is going to sadder and angrier from here on out, because the realization has definitely set in. Good. I hope it hurts.
