I’d recommend watching and following other pages. There are a lot of interesting opinions and discussions elsewhere. I just usually lurk there though because I don’t really have enough care to be invested enough to post, or my opinion was already stated in a relatively recent one so I’ll drop a like.

I typically only post here because, as this covers a particular form of entertainment I enjoy, I’d like to talk about it. I’m not completely terminally online to post constantly, or when I am active, I’m usually juggling work, or on downtime and simultaneously watching a Vtuber. Or in this case traveling for extended periods of time.

Plus, my posts don’t get moved to a strange sub-forum because some psychopath went raving. Shit gets kind of stupid in a lot of other threads. I appreciate that the CCP hate coming from more genuine political and social (and not just Coco) is prevalent.

I would think so. Feels like most 3/5 of EN2 has become background noise. The same goes for 4/6's of the ID branch. The Japanese branch does seem to have a large following still. From a personal point of view, I feel like I'm missing out on 98% of the content that comes out because there are way too many of them. On a corporate level I feel like even though the market is saturated, the new talents seem to be doing great without really taking away from the existing groups.

Yeah, the fad has died down a bit and the lockdowns are mostly over so the EN audience for female idol-type vtubers has shrunk and probably stabilized.

It would make more sense for Hololive to either expand to other regions like an EU/RU branch or expand to something completely different.. I'd look to the Twitch e-sports orgs or streamer/content groups like OfflineTV or OTK for inspiration. Maybe a formal vtuber streamer house or an esports team. But that is a lot to ask of a conservative Jap company so none of this will ever happen with Hololive except more branches and maybe an all-male gen.

While i do get why Hololive does a 1 month ban (it usually leads to stronger talents) in this case it might be best to just integrate them from the get go. Going back to the company culture, if you think about it the EN girls rarely ever collab with each other. Maybe at most once every 2 weeks they have 1 collab.

So in a previous post I talked about some unused pages I found on the hololive website that was launched back in august, a result of me noticing how the new holostars website has it's own audition page, yet, on the hololive website, the audition button leads back to the hololive production website. The aforementioned unused pages can be found on the sitemap here (all of the normal pages are here too, of course.)

But the main point of this post is that when I found out about the sitemap thing, I immediately went back to the hololive production website and tried it there. This website's sitemap is considerably less user friendly, but there's a page listed here that I'd like to highlight in particular: https://www.hololive.tv/english. There's no button directly on the page to change the language, but an english version does exist.

What's being passport protected? Why was this page important enough to get both an english and japanese version? Is it possible that it's obviously not important and I'm just being a dumbass? I'm sure it's probably nothing, but at the very least, if no one or very few people actually know what this is, you could stick it pretty far down on a hololive iceberg chart meme.
