I think modern day Mengeles are generally more subtle than that. I might be late, but I just watched this, and it really highlights the abuse in this family, and how they have no desire to give Jazz any actual treatment for his mental health issues.

Something really fucky is happening and I'm not even sure if the internet is the whole story. There needs to be way more research into the possibility that it's caused by an environmental toxin, antidepressants, or perhaps the way communities and society are set up. But anyone who tries to get research money for that is shot down as transphobic and interested in conversion therapy.

When considering the causes of troonery, I think the radical success of the gay rights movement needs to be factored in. 20 years ago, a celebrity coming out as gay or bi would be earth-shattering, but now it's like, Tuesday. I don't think it's AGP as that tends to show up at its earliest in puberty - I think Jazz was a kid who loved playing dress up and probably aped after his older sister a bit since the twins had each other.
