Especially not an MMO as basic as WoW. These look like they’re made for complex fast paced games or people with only one hand.
I would say these are probably designed for RTS's more than anything else...even then I still feel my Logitech G600 12 button mouse would be superior because the "extra buttons" are on the side where you can use your Thumb to click them.

Wow Lilly seriously missed the point with Snapdragon. It's not that he's trans, he's male but he doesn't feel comfortable being the kind of man his father and brothers are. They made fun of him for liking traditionally un-masculine things like cute bunnies or stuffed animals. So he's more of a (for lack of a better term) girly man but he's still a man.

Interesting. Did we know before that Moral had written “Face Down”?

Post link

Edit so I don’t double post, the voice actor for Snapdragon says the character is a trans woman like her. Do with that information what you will.

Holy shit, she actually addressed the "progressives overcompensating for the reactionary outrage machine" thing (that's been driving me nuts for years). She didn't acknowledge her role in this, culminating in the time she lowkey defended Cuties, but still.
It's also funny she only took notice of the "representation" and not, you know, the awful dialogue, animation, voice acting, etc.
And I'll be damned if she somehow didn't still find a way to blame anime and its fans for all the world's problems.

Well, that was MOST of Snapdragon's arc. The 11th episode had a brief scene with them alluding to having gender dysphoria, which just came out of nowhere. I agree that this SHOULD have been an arc about defying gender roles, and it was... until it wasn't.

Ah okay. I must not have been paying close enough attention, that's my bad and I'm sorry.

No the creators straight up said he was going to be be trans. And to top it off they were clearly setting him up with the lesbian witch girl. Because troons.

Recent rumblings about Lily being under embargo(?) from a friend, which keeps her from talking about Encanto. If one of my friends told me I couldn't watch or talk about something I would probably stop talking to them, her friends sound really annoying.

I'm sure Encanto's good, hopefully better than Coco, I didn't really like Coco that much. Sufficed to say I don't care about Encanto at all, but these two spergs are complaining about each other. Might as well archive the exchange.

So this is...something. Let's see Lily's response shall we?

Really acknowledged the entire argument, A+ good job.

The first post brought up good points, but at the same time is a little too...angry to be taken seriously. People shouldn't gatekeep a movie just because some people don't understand it. That's what leads people to resent certain kinds of movies and refuse to understand them.

Some people focusing on gay tumblr shit instead of what the film has to say about Latin culture doesn't change what the film has to say about Latin culture. It just means they had different priorities when watching. If the film still spoke to you then it still spoke to you, letting other people taint how you view something makes you sound like a bitter asshole.

That being said Lily's probably never going to address the argument in full because it brought up Stockholm. So instead she does what she always does and says they're just mad about Steven Universe. Never gets old.

I actually watched it the other night and it's a very good movie! I completely agree that Lily should stay far away from it though. I can think of reasons why she would dislike it and why she would like it, but it's honestly just a good movie and if she truly doesn't need to commentate on every piece of media that comes out she should really keep her trap shut about this one. It deals heavily with forgiveness and especially forgiveness of an overbearing/emotionally abusive family member. It just really doesn't seem like the type of thing she would take well, and even if she likes it I don't think she would be able to talk about it properly.
I'm sure her favorite character is Isabella though. She's the golden child of the family who is like somewhat revealed to be a lesbian/not interested in a relationship after refusing to partake in a semi-arranged marriage. After reading the way Lily wrote Anevay's backstory in a similar (and much less appealing) manner I'm sure seeing Isabella made her soak her panties or some shit.

Encanto is a film about a magical family based in Colombia. The matriarch and grandmother of the family, Alma, fled her original home when she her husband, and their neighbors were forced out (There's probably more political reasons at to why they were chased out of their home/killed if they stayed but the movie never really spoke about it, only showed/implied it.) and while she and her husband were fleeing with their triplets they were caught and her husband was killed. In his death a candle was enchanted to protect her, her children, and it built them a new town and a house in a safe haven away from threats. The candle also blesses each family member with a magical gift and each new generation brings more gifts until the main character, Mirabel, who never receives one and is prophesized by another member of the family to either save or break the families magic. Thus Mirabel goes on an adventure trying to save her family from losing their magic and their bonds with each other.
Overall the music, visuals, and story are pretty good for a modern Disney animated movie. It's not a princess movie in a traditional sense but it makes up for it in charm. The only real critique that I would have is that it's very fast paced and for a movie with so many different important characters it can feel a little bit overwhelming, but on a second rewatch I'm sure those problems would even out entirely.

The fact that she calls it the “Space Nazi Dicksucking Show” tells me Lily’s the one with hangups about the show.

Must really stick in her crawl that the show she apparently hates more than anything is also the one people tend to associate with her the most.
To be fair, when it comes to her image, that is still better than only be remembered as the writer of Stockholm who keeps denying she wrote it.

I thought the movie was okay. The music and animation were good but the story and characters felt bland and generic.

But I agree on what you said about Jerry, considering his bullshit takes on forgiveness and his obsession with Mary Sues.

Now we know what she'll accuse the next failed friendship of being abusive of.

It's funny as fuck tho that it's not even just fans of the movie anymore, but even her friends, that don't want her to talk about said movie. Just wow

It doesn't matter whether she likes or dislikes a show/movie/game, because she can't arguement her takes for shit. 'Cause she'sa bad critiq, and that's a probem of her execution rather than her feelings towards a property - even if she likes something, she has no idea how to explain why a piece of media works opposed to not.
Moreso, she's completely unable to talk about something she likes without comparing it with something she dislikes, and shitting over it while she's at it, like the only way she can present a movie or show as good, is to bring other movies and show down. ''This movie is good, because it isn't the other movie that I say is bad'', Okay Lily. Which is something she does with people as well, or just her life as well.

Like I'd like to watch her review of HGS, whithout having to listen for the umpternth time why The Last Jedi or She-Ra are bad, and how people that claim othervise are racist.
Which, on a side note, she allways calls forth the same three or so show as examples for bad writing - and if it's really just three or so shows that are this bad, it really doesn't make it look as big of an issue than she claims it is.

‘I feel like Yahtzee! I can’t express myself. So I lie!’ As people have said above this is a box she’s built for herself. Also more suicide insisting. Classy, Lily.

They aren’t problematic family members if they are brown.
The whole point is Abuela is holding on too tightly to her family. Her grief made a literal magical wall against the Colombian civil war waging outside. She pushes her family to be the best. To be paragons of the community. She uses them to keep herself from feeling that loss. Everyone has to bend to her word no matter what they want as people. Now she doesn’t mean this. It’s not malicious. It’s a natural response and it gets resolved by the end because of Disney movie.

You can make a comparison of the madrigals to the diamonds. How the whole community worships them. How her name demands respect. All of these are interesting rabbit holes of thought to go down if you’re a media critic. You’d have to work at it though. Something our girl refuses to do.
