Let's pretend for one moment that he does die before the election, just for the funsies. What happens then? Will the nomination revert to option number 2, aka Bernie Sanders? Or will his running mate automatically replace him just the way Vice-President is supposted to step in after the Big Man in the White House chokes on a piece of matzo? Does he even have a running mate yet?

So I can put out a book called "Winnie the Pooh and the Big Honeypot Filled With Globo-Homo" or "Eeyore's Epstein Island Misadventures And Who He Saw There" solo books with all sorts of OCs and the only restrictions is that if I include pictures, they have to be shirtless brown Winnie and straight gray colored Eeyore?

Semantics is important here, I will break with @Oxous here and note that the articles that said back was back at the table cheerily -presented- it as a negotiation, but what was actually mentioned was not a negotiation, it was a set of demands. So its a case of the spin is wrong, but the event is real. And even the thing you are responding to fits that as Manchin is bluntly stating 'there are no negotiations', which does not mean 'there are no demands'.
