Kazakhstan unrest and future of the country - Protests erupt around ex Soviet country over fuel prices.

Oy vey, consider yourself lucky if you haven't lived near the Lesser Satan. Russia PERMEATES every single bordering country. You can't escape it and if you think that you can, Russians will bring their wonderful "Rusky Mir" along with them.
I know they dislike Russia, but its uncharacteristic for them to emphasize cutting ties with Russia, something that almost certainly will not happen, when bitching about fuel prices.

As to "native" Russians in Kazahstan, every single x-soviet republic remembers mass resettlement of native population to Gulags while bringing and attracting Russian settlers to form islands of forever support for Moscow. That have been a common scheme in most of the republics. Most of those colonists neevr bothered to learn either local language or local customs and only demand that everyone speaks Russian with them and Russian stays at least second state language. Fuck that shit.
Keep in mind that some of these locations had significant Russian settler populations dating back to the Russian empire, decades before the Soviet Union came around. Sure, Stalin's resettlement schemes grew their numbers but a sizable amount of them have ancestry dating back to the 1860's-1870's.

Unconfirmed reports of Tajik, Uzbek and Kyrgyz forces ready to assist with Article 4 peace keeping

Problem is they may never be truly confirmed as article 4 allows for secrecy in deployments, and lets be honest people only care about Russia's movements.

Update: Supposed pictures depicting the Russian 117th transport brigade is standing by at Orenburg with 15k soldiers max to be sent to Kazakhstan. However it seems to be pictures of a Bosnian tent exercise from January 2021

A supposed list of extra demands have come out from Kazakhstan. Its validity i cant ascertain. However the uploader is the official account of Petropavlovsk, the capital of the Kamchatka region (Apparently a city in northern Kazakhstan). Possible Russian Psy-op or the Kazakh's have gone insane.

I ran the list through a OCR Translator and this is what it produced

They should have left that last demand out. Probably not a great time to give the finger to Putin.
On one hand it is probably not a good idea for your health.

On the other, them demanding Russia go fuck itself instantly makes me like them and I hope that they drag every single fucking member of their Administrative Slime Pit out into the streets, strip them naked, shave their heads and march them into the Russia they love so much.

There is a city called Petropavlovsk in northern Kazakhstan. It’s a majority ethnic Russian city.

Ruptly has been posting clips of Kazakhs driving around in nicked service vehicles and beating up alleged police; guess you can take the Turk out of the Desert, but can't take the Desert out of the Turk.
These are real Turks. The so-called "Turks" occupying Anatolia are just mongrel Greeks.

I'll have to give it to them.

Unlike people who just bitch on the internet, and the French who just go on strike whenever fuel prices rise, the Kazakhs immediately try to overthrow the government. That is both impressive and scary.

In all seriousness though, they're pissed because their government is basically a dictatorship in everything but name, and the fuel prices were just the final straw.

Sorry if i am posting too much.

No, post moar please. This shit is extremely interesting.

Twitter riot footage trawling.

Crowd faces down a wall of riot cops in Karagandy.

Guys chasing down a military convoy in Mangystau to keep it from reinforcing Zhanaozen.

Riot cops in Zhanaozen deploy.

Cheering crowd before...

And after.

Cop cars on fire outside Almaty.

Police switch teams and join the protestors in Atryau.

Link was mangled, but I think this one might be the one you had in mind -- huge crowd of protestors chasing and almost catching riot/military vehicles in Almaty.

Most of that Russian population was put there exactly to man outposts and fortresses. Imperial Russia wasn't any less of an asshole to its neighbors as it is now. It was actually far worse.

I'll tell you an eye witness story of a simple Russian factory worker who was relocated to Latvia. They expected to be placed in barracks for the first years, but instead were distributed into homes with their inhabitants mysteriously missing. In some homes, stove was literally still warm. He lived there since, never learned local language, always bitched about stupid country asshole locals and always sperged about great Russia and Russian people.

So that Latvian village ... Soviet army rounded everyone in the middle of the night at gun point. You had 10min to bring 5kilos of anything, then you were driven in trucks to railway station where they were loaded into cattlecars and sent to bumpfuck literally nowhere. After a few days trip with quick stops to unload dead people, they were eventually dumped into a snowbank, given few shovels and axes and left alone without any supplies or shelter.

Now you tell me how relatives of those "resettled" Latvians should treat Russian asshole workers and their spawn.

Withdrawing from all alliances with Russia doesn't seem like a very intelligent demand given their very extensive trade links with Russia, the fact that 1/5 of their population is ethnically Russian, plus their membership in the CiS and Eurasian Economic Union. The free travel between Russia and Kazakhstan has been a major support for the Kazakh economy. Wouldn't surprise me if China takes advantage of this because that's the only other major power within reasonable distance.
Perhaps PRC might be a less intrusive ally or patron than Putin, or just fighting talk.
