Everybody involved in 1/6 are idiots, shysters, manipulators, whatever you can call it.
The boomers for failing to have sense to know what political protest is, instead just treating it as a grift, a game to just cause a ruckus. All the while, the man that started it just left them hung to dry while he's fighting a "election fraud" case in Florida.
The politicians for having no foresight or care to realize that their policies and bitterness was what caused the spark in the first place. They expect me to feel sorry for them cowering on the floor when they've caused DECADES of American apathy through war, recession, outsourcing, greed, corruption and espionage? Not to mention four years of fear mongering about "our democracy" being a peril under some businessman?
And lastly, the media. Five straight years of pure propaganda and lying all for a man that won an election fair and square. You start to dehumanize people, your own audience, your own countrymen through deceit and hatred, expect a fair bit of backlash. Journalism is a dead profession thanks to the Internet and ratings consumption.
What all these factors have in common is that they publicly exposed how vulnerable modern society has turned. 1/6 WAS a tragedy, just not the way everybody is saying it is.
