Plagued /r/TNOmod and the Reddit HOI4 modding community - When a subreddit for a video game mod turns to utter insanity

So while base Kaiserreich still hasn't ported to NSB and their devs bitch about subideologies being too hard to code, Redux has not only updated to function with NSB but just teased a shit ton of subideologies.
Kaiserredux always wins!

Speer Hoodie has got a new rival.

Imagine all of the awkward questions you'd get from wearing this hoodie.

The HRE hoodie has great graphic design.
It dies doesn't it?
Is that a Black Israelite Pan-Africa?
Yes, the Black Belt Revolt has a lot of gamer trees.
Its insane that the non-meme paths of KX are better researched and more accurate to the historical people than base Kaiserreichs
Yeah, beneath the wacky shit like Pharohanic Black Revolt or Evolan Pan-Europa the modes content is insanely well researched and shows the effort put into it. Just look at the US tree, besides having actual non-ACW content each tag has loads of focuses for various parties.

Problem is that it runs like shit and not worth playing unless you already know what path you wanna play beforehand.
Maybe it's my newer computer but Kaiserredux only started to have preformance problems when the Roter Morgen update released. This has got me thinking, what is the actual limit to content for a hoi4 mod and is kaiserredux even close to that?

I know CK2 is poorly optimized in regards to tracking every single character for no reason, I assume HOI4 runs like shit due to calculating divisions that get shit out plus all the focuses/effects that nations get. Mods add shit so that makes it worst in terms of optimization.

The Clausewitz engine just runs like shit. Imagine making a single-threaded simulation engine in the Year of Our Lord 2012.

In Stellaris the lag is so bad most players quit before the victory year. It's laughed about, but the developers made planet-killing weapons and certain threats (like fanatic purifiers) partly because they kill pops and thus speed up the game. It's meta to use them to kill entire empires in the lategame to make lag manageable. The more diverse pops are in your empire the slower your game runs so extermination racial policies are a lag-saving technique.

Similarly CK2 deals with courtier interactions for every faction all the time, so the more spawn the worse the game runs. The plague expansion pack was made not just to simulate the black death (its main selling point in advertising) but because having regular plagues kills courtiers and frees up processing resources without letting the player know their game is being subjected to a garbage collection process.

Buying an AMD Ryzen Threadripper 3990X for $7000 just to play modern Paradox games

Apparently before NSB changed how "characters" worked the mod would have all of the dead generals and leaders go to a hidden Antarctica country. Hopefully once they remove that clutter fully performance will increase.

Much like Bethesda and it's Creation Engine, the Clausewitz engine is becoming increasingly outdated and a mess to work with. Paradox is lucky all they make is map games, even if they keep dumbing them down while somehow still making them bulkier (Looking at you Victoria 3).

Speaking of Antartica Kaiserredux is adding a German expedition to Antartica on the bottom of the map for some reason. I assume it is a joke tag with some wacky schizo bullshit if certain things are enabled.
