I was going to say, credit where it’s due and all that, if they really raised 3 grand and gave it to a family they didn’t appear to know, that’s objectively good of them.
Still probably tax fraud, but nice.
I don’t think you’re wrong; I would rather an innocent party benefit from someone’s readily apparent publicity stunt rather than some shit-head who keeps it all for themself, but this is just more carefully planned propaganda. Another flagpole to raise up the grand and altruistic banner of their own perfect egos.
That’s not even to suggest that all of the money made it’s way to said family. I’m sure there was an undisclosed “handling fee” for totally unnecessary middle-
I’m glad a family got some money and I sincerely hope it helps them. That it is a blatant effort for shitty, self-absorbed beggars to garner respect is just an unfortunate side-effect.
