Let's pretend for one moment that he does die before the election, just for the funsies. What happens then? Will the nomination revert to option number 2, aka Bernie Sanders? Or will his running mate automatically replace him just the way Vice-President is supposted to step in after the Big Man in the White House chokes on a piece of matzo? Does he even have a running mate yet?

That's exactly the problem.

When someone is liberal in the US, that doesn't say a word about their economic stances. It only speaks to their social stances.

An economic liberal + social conservative is a unicorn.
Honestly, when you get down to it, the only thing most liberals are "liberal" about is stuff related to sex and genitals.

So, now the whole thing now is to make Trump boogeyman is gonna get you if you don't vote correctly in 2024, otherwise democracy is dead. can that work? Better yet, can that work for 3 more years?

Because I'm not really seeing in terms of politics or ideology even, it is just, the Democrats are driving everybody insane and exhausted, during the Trump years it was nothing but histeria and how the US was going to crumble under fascism and how covid was goign to kill us all and day in day out with agitation non-stop. Then they got the presidency, and still this constant pounding, and i gotta ask, will this work?

I get that the point to drive the people to state of numbness that they will just give in to the brown beating, but one has to wonder if that is going to work seeing people voted to Biden in the first place to get some peace and quiet, and there still none to be had, how long can people keep this up I wonder?

Roberts sounds like he actually cared about government overreach that was surprising
Roberts always has had a limit on how far he'd budge to support the ruling power. It sounds like the Democrats are tripping over themselves to cross it, and the left-leaning judges are actively making it worse by blatantly saying we should disregard the law itself. That this is merely on whether an injunction should stand doesn't help the Democrat's position... it'd be -really- easy for any of the judges to allow the injunction to stand since legal action is pending.

No. A flat no. Its barely even budging the needle right -now-. If they harp on it too much longer its near-certainly going to invert and actually start damaging their position as the general public starts asking its most hated question. "Okay, so what do you want to do now?".

Hating the other guy can rile up your base, make him hated enough you might even get some "anyone but him" voters out... but that only has ever worked when you are not the one in power and he is. The grass is always greener on the other side, so such political tactics try to make people desire a future that has not yet occurred with your guy. It does not nor ever has worked in the inverse situation.

Not long at all.

What gets me about this whole shitshow is that Trump was a warning, that the policies the Democrats were pushing were too much, too far, and not wanted. People would be happy for economic reforms that give them more stability in their lives; they're less happy about having intersectionalist gender shit and constant abuse thrown in their faces. Trump won because the people wanted real change, and if the Democrats had even a scintilla of intelligence, they would have realised what his success meant and changed course. They doubled down instead. The next 20 years are going to be, as the chinese say interesting times, regardless of whether Trump (or his anointed successor) wins in 24, because the American "left" are incapable of changing course. They're entirely beholden to corporate and technocratic masters who don't have the interests of the people at heart.

One of the consequences of building your platform around hating the other guy is that everyone starts to think about the other guy. If you don't have any substance, eventually that's the only thing they'll be doing. And that's exactly what Trump loves to do, he loves mentally dominating people.
