Now people will be drooling over her simply because she's a dyke, despite that the character is not only terribly written, but is just an all around horrible human being.

Now we're probably going to have a show about a character whose main method of attack is throwing cats that explode... cats she calls "Snugglebum-Oogeywoogey" to activate their self-destruct... And to think people call one of her issues the best in SW history just because she locks lips with an Ellen Degeners cyborg.

She's got the plucky part down, but they play her immorality for laughs and that doesn't sit right with me.

She sounds like current-year Harley Quinn in spaaace.

Another thing is that Tatooine has a major metropolitan area when there's absolutely no reason for there to be one, Mos Eisley at least had the excuse of being a service town built around a spaceport but Mos Espa is a straight up city that exists for no reason at all, unless it's explained somewhere that 90% of the houses are just Hutt-owned time share properties that only get used in the podracing season, but that'd be too clever for Mousewars wouldn't it?

Tat used to be some nowhere planet out in the middle of nowhere and thats why Luke wanted to leave. NuLore seems to be that it was always some bustling capitol jewel of the outer rim.

Disney's turned Tatooine into a fucking metropolis practically teeming with life, too many big cities, fleets to rival the empire, giant statues, plenty of food and melons to go around. And they even made jawas and tusken raiders get along of all things. Like dogs and cats living together. A bloody madhouse.

Watching the second episode now. One thing that really sticks out is how clean everything looks. In the OT Mos Eisley was a dump. It looked like a dirty, grimy dump. Now everything looks so clean. it doesn't look dirty or grimy.

Also, why the fuck do blasters have a charging handle? So stupid.

I liked Boba Fett in the Holiday Special. The animated short is the best part of the entire thing. It's the 80s Star Wars cartoon that should have been made into an actual series.

Still not as cringy as the Deepfake Luke reactions with 35-year-old men weeping and clutching each other like they'd just witnessed Christ rise from the grave.

It's crazy to think about how TLJ could have completely sucked shit the way it does now but if Luke was portrayed "properly" (not portrayed well) in the film most fans wouldn't have cared. In fact they would have rejoiced. Most people didn't care how terribly Han and Leia were portrayed in TFA, just because they were in it in the first place.

Well, I think Tatooine should be something along the lines of a little town in the Old West. Rough, out of the way, not much in the way of things.

Rural America, big batches of nothing in the middle of nowhere where the idea of fun is to visit the local gas station/bar and the biggest settlement around is a seedy service town built around small spaceport. Of course the Prequels set a bad precident with Mos Espa, but you can always justify it as being a small settlement that expanded due to being the closest to Jabba's palace with the local raceway & associated tourism industry being a legitimate business front for Jabba to launder money with. The fact that the none of the writers are even trying to explain how Tatooine works or why anyone cares about it is a massive red flag to me.

Spoiler: TL;DR

Mostly a backwater world with very few towns and cities, and with said settlements looking either really old and conservative (like in ANH and most EU media) or part old and part junkyard. Even in TPM this kind of aesthetic was kept intact, with only the Mos Espa arena being the only fancy looking place, while Mos Espa itself looks much like Mos Eisley in the special edition. Ancient, rundown, dirty, little architectural consistency and full of scrap and broken ships, as expected of a society mostly run by hicks and crimelords. Also what Traincake said.

Mos Espa was made a bit too big for its own good, but considering we never see the whole thing in full, the buildings we see in the wider shots still aren't proof enough of how much territory this town actually covers. And Mos Eisley was still holding the title of biggest even after this.

Even Tatooine's only human-controlled capital of Bestine wasn't that big or bustling, with Mos Eisley still being bigger and holding the title of largest city on Tatooine, and even with that it was still referred to as the Galactic Armpit.

Now look at the size of this motherfucker, and this is supposed to be the same city from TPM which is supposed to be smaller than Mos Eisley.

And Jabba, who only had two to three starships at his disposal which were just glorified limos -

- now under Disney has a fleet of his own that can wipe out imperial forces like nothing.

Yet paradoxically said fleet is scared of one junky old freighter with a few non-existent missiles that Landonis lied about.

And despite how much Filoni fans like to laud the wolfaboo as being ultra faithful to pre-Disney shit or claiming that he'll retcon Disney, he retconned Jabba's palace to be in the outskirts of Mos Espa now despite his palace being far from any civilization in the film and being nowhere near Mos Espa in the map of Tatooine's main continent that was released for the prequels. With Mos Espa being far to the north in the Xelric region while Jabba's palace was far off in the isolated Mesra region.

Anyway Wookieepedo has officially renamed Jabba's palace to Boba's palace, despite offering zero references or citations for this and that even SW.com still calls it Jabba's palace.

If you try to argue that TFA was bad and set the tone of the sequels being complete garbage from the start you'll get blasted for it. If you try to argue JJ didn't write a treatment for Episodes 8 and 9 and there was no plan you'll get blasted for it. If you try to argue Luke being on an island was a terrible idea that should have never happened, you'll get blasted for it. If you argue CGI Luke in Mando sucked, you'll get blasted for it. These might mostly be TFA related but I hope my point comes across. A lot of these people didn't realize Disney Star Wars wasn't good until as late as TROS coming out. It's the least worst place to talk about and shit on Disney Wars on reddit, but it's still a cirlcejerk in a lot of ways.

And best of all, they fucking LOVE Filoni. They don't have a bad word to say about him or anything he's worked on.

Yeah it started when the Filoni pandering went into overdrive after Solo bombed and they outright banned memes from being posted except on weekends (under strict moderation), it also didn't help that some of the janitors became troons. On the one hand, I kind of get where they are coming from. At some point you either need to learn to just enjoy it or ditch the property, IMO.

Except that wasn't the case. That was just something Filoni made up to have more convenient prequel memberberries and probably to have Boba host a podrace this or the next season, which is ironic since DisCanon listed Jabba's palace as being in the same place it was in old up until Filoni's new show. Jabba lived out in the middle of nowhere and Mos Espa was still described as smaller than Mos Eisley. At most you are right about Mos Espa being one of the less shittier places before Disney because of the podraces and tourism it brought, yet the irony is that Disney still carried over the ban on podracing from old canon, so there's zero reason for this city to be bustling like it is in DisCanon unless Filoni pulls another asspull that makes DisCanon even more of a clusterfuck.

Wookieepedo can't even make up their minds on it so they just listed the palace as being in two different locations simultaneously.

The palace still looks like it's a good distance away from the city, it just feels like it should be right next to it because travel time doesn't exist in this show.

At the very least he'll kinda look like The Stig and it would remind me of a show that was actually good.
