I doubt Phil is ever going to turn his situation around, and the most maddening part is he could.
He has all the tools available to him to grow his channel and become big but refuses to use them.
If he spent less time being petty and jealous about other content creators and more time looking at how they're successful he could become huge.
I agree he could turn his channel around and improve his views, and while I think there was one point he could get big, I think ship has long since sailed. Even if he pulled a miraculous redemption arc, he's just too irrelevant for people to care about, not to mention there's too much streaming competition. It feels like Phil is a bigger deal online because of how active this particular forum is, but I'd wager the majority of potential viewers either have no idea who he is, or vaguely remember him as "that guy". Maybe a few would curiously tune in, but I think they'd get bored pretty quickly. There's a reason that both detractors and even his legitimate fans either leave when the prestream drama finishes, or start talking about other random stuff because Phil is so boring.
Generally, successful streamers have one of three things going for them. They're really good at a competitive game/category. League of Legends, some speedrunners, retro challenge runners etc. Even if Phil stopped being salty, fixed his eclectic schedule and started wearing glasses, I don't think he's good enough at any game to draw this kind of crowd. His best chance would be his SF streams, and I'll give him the benefit of the doubt and assume at one point he was actually good at the game, but nowadays he struggles against anyone with even a tiny bit of experience and reaction time.
The other group is the more casual streamer where it's less about the game and more about the streamer being interesting. Phil's idea of interesting is spilling water on himself, burger king messing up his order and his alarms getting inspected. He'd have to start leaving the house and actually experiencing things, which I just don't see happening. Same with him getting a cohost to bounce off of. *Maybe* he could make this work if he started playing with his dentheads and actually trying to be friends with them. Again, I think this would help his channel grow, but not make him big.
And the last group is titty streamers, and unfortunately for Phil, mantits don't qualify for this category.
