I think you have a lot more faith in the ability of the various moving parts of YT to effectively communicate with each other than I do.

The most accepted hypothesis in the Chans is that the Hololive viewers got hit/shadowbanned by the Youtube's automated moderators because of "bot-like behaviour", especially during the Karaoke relays (i.e. quickly moving between channels and spamming emojis)

It then makes sense for the NijiGirls to be culled also because they have the largest overlap with Hololive viewers while the Nijiboys have relatively newish viewers or mostly non-Hololive viewers

Compare Kuzuha's graph vs Mysta's. Mysta's is a relatively straight shot while Kuzuha (and almost everyone else hit by this "cull" have massive dips during the middle of their streams because of Youtube re-verifying every viewer

You can't deny that there's a disproportionate difference on how YT currently cut the CCV numbers. Gura's cut is way more than just Selen's 30%. If the theory of views with adblock are hidden is true, that could kind explain why NijiMale is pretty much safe from the cut, due to how Fujo tend to not use adblock to "support their idols"

Call me crazy, but I have the distinct feeling that if Sony's VTuber thing ever takes off (as if), they will never have to deal with this sort of Susantube sabotage. Because Sony is beeg corpo presence, so they will be put on the secret corpo fast pass immunity lane (Sony, of course, being one of the biggest DCMA abusers on the internet) that they themselves help to set up.

But they would never seek to use their vast media power to sabotage their competition, right?

This is something that I never wanted to do and never thought that I would have to do. I am Pippa's ex lover. We had a deep relationship for many years. After I left her, I put her out of my mind and moved on with my life. I happened to be listening to a @Flamenco vod tonight and he wound up on Pippa's stream. That brought back both good and bad memories, but I didn't have a problem until she mentioned me on stream. According to her she stopped eating my noodle because my foam packaging could cause cancer. In actuality I let her know that up front and she was fine with it. I actually left her. Pippa is a wonderful girl and I wish her the best, but I'm more into neko mimi than usagi mimi. I tried to grow accustomed to her long oval ears, but in the end it's the short triangular ones that do it for me. I know this makes me out to be the bad guy, but it is the actual truth and maybe it will help Pippa move on.
